Coldin was enraged!!!
The puny citiziens of Kolwazi were killing his governers at the city of Kolwazi!
He would show those puny uprisers what might meant.
He walked over to his desk and pressed a button that would let him be heard in the barracks. "Military advisor Granth, come to my inner chambers."
Coldin went to his inner chambers to wait for Granth. When Coldin arrived, his domestic advisor, Garranna was waiting."What is it now," he breathed irritably. "Sir, the peasants are revolting in Kolwazi,"
"Yes yes, you're not to nice yourself you know,"
Coldin turned on Garranna. "I know!!! Now get out!"
Garranna went, and Garth came in, breathing hard; "What is it my Lord?"
"Garth, the uprisers in Kolwazi; we have to stop them."
"Yes sir."
"What do you say we send our world class army there and conscript more young people to protect our homeland?"
"Send off the main army?"
"Yes. The world class soldiers. Nobody in their right mind will attempt to start a rebellion with near on two thousand super soldiers there."
"Whatever you say Sir."
Garth walked out, already starting to roar. "Awright you 'orrible lot, MOVE! Formation, SQUARE! Ready on my word, y' hear? And anyone what ain't ready to march in half a clepmark*, they'll have double night watch and guard duty all the way!
Coldin caught him singing an old commander's song.
"You horrible sloppy scruffy lot
'eres what I'll do fer starters
If yer don't listen when I shouts
I'll 'ave yer guts fer garters!"
Coldin shook his head and grinned. Garth was sometimes a fool, but very trustworthy.
"I'll 'ave you march ten miles ere dawn
then march up twenny more!
If you complain or dare to yawn
I'll 'ave yer march some more!"
The "Recruit's Nightmare" as it was commonly known, generally made any soldier sit up straight and check his gear even if he had done so five times already.
"You fatty, stupid, idle lot
You'll have ter scrub the floors
And if you say "there isn't none!"
You'll also wash the doors!"
Coldin walked into his palace, a small grin on his face. It expanded rapidly as he caught the sounds of 1800 soldiers marching in step and shaking the ground with their every movement.
Orders: Conscript more men to defend the homeland
Send all the World Class soldiers to suppress rebellion at the River Shrine
Increase education (and army, of course...)
*clepmark= Clepsydra time-mark. The Clepsydra was an ancient water clock, some examples are still preserved today.
