New York Gangland News

Five Arrested After Mob Slaughter in Central New York.
-Five members of the notorious Michpucha were arrested by New York City cops after being caught with blood on their hands after slaying two women and two men in central New York. Including the attackers, six were let dead in the battle, and local witnesses garuantee maximum penalty for the aggressors in state prison. (Battle in 4,5 between the Michpucha and Andreasen; Victory for Michpucha, -2 Thugs dead; -4 Thugs, -1 Hitman arrested; Defeat for Andreasen, -2 Thugs, -2 Prostitutes)

Gómez-Araujo Return to Spain in Hasty Flight.
-The leaders of the former Gómez-Araujo are said to have fled back to Spain as they fell under increasing pressure from law enforcement, the O’Sullivan Mob, the Penkin, and the Center City Gang. Their territories are now apparently up for grabs by the other organized mobsters in New York City attempting to secure a foothold in Manhattan. (Gómez-Araujo destroyed)

Fighting Over Southern Manhattan.
-The absence of the Gómez-Araujo from southern Manhattan Island has made a clear power vacuum in the region, leading to increased violence. In one particular battle five men were killed by gangsters alleged to have been part of the O’Sullivan Mob, perhaps instigating a new mob war. (Battle between O’Sullivan Mob and Center City Gang on 8,7; Victory for O’Sullivan Mob; Defeat for Center City Gang, -3 Thugs, -2 Hitmen

Grin Gang Destroyed in Ongoing War.
-Infamous gang leader, Ronald "Mad" Sanders was found dead in six different locations this week, after a vicious battle on his home turf resulted in the destruction of his gang. (Battle between Andersons and The Grin Gang on 1,1; Victory for the Anderson, -1 Thug; Defeat for the Grin Gang, -2 Bodyguards, Gang destroyed)

OOC

@Agent_89, you may have missed the part in the rules which allows only three buildings per square. Therefore the 150 for a Speakeasy and bartender in 6,6 has been ignored and banked. As the distillery is more or less a key part of your orders, the construction of that has been moved to 5,6.

@Shadowbound: You must have misunderstood my meaning when we had our AIM conversation. While you do receive speakeasy funds the same turn, I meant after the spending you already had banked, definitely not before. Therefore any excess spending you had at the bottom of your list was not done. Also, the rules clearly state that you may only have a Bribery level of 10 at any time. Therefore that part of the spending was the first part cut of your overestimated spending. The remainder of your cut spending was the two hitmen that you ordered as well as the speakeasy for 10,9.

City Map

OOC: I may have forgotten to post in the stats that I bribed the police 2 times. Oh well.

@Tree: I apologize about the prostitutes, wil fix on the map immediately. As for the bribes, I see no where you did or could of afford that level of bribery.

My bad, I just noticed that I lose a police bribe for every square I occupy. Sorry about that.

We're sure that the firefight in Manhattan was simply a case of misidentification, and, when combined with the steady build-up of your organization's employees on our mutual border, not a sign of an impending conflict. Correct?

To Dmytro Penkin

9,8 and 10,8 belong to me and my associates. Do not advance further. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship as neighbors, or at least one better than that we had with the Jackson and Gomez-Araujo families.

I'm just wondering, how long does it take to calculate these battles?
