ERROR help!

So I can start SMAC fine (though I did need to add that =1 line into the preferences to get it to work), and can even start a game. However, a soon as I hit "B" and build my first city, and then exit out of that image screen that comes up about building your first city, the game crashes. I get one of those "terran.exe has encountered an error and needs to close. Do you want to send an error report?" messages.

Any idea how to fix this?

You have to jump through some hoops sometimes...

yes it's all patched.

What OS are you running. You could try running it as a 2000 or 98 program.

Fixed it. It was stupid simcity screwing up the stupid text settings in some stupid way.
