Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

aaglo... yes, you really should give this Scenario a try. I think you would find it Fun and then perhaps you will become "infected" by the Zombies and be forced to make a few units when possible :D

Request: If anyone has any Great Pictures that could be used for the Tech Screens, I would like to see them. What I have in mind is Beautiful, peaceful Island where all looks wonderful for the first two Tech Screens then one that is becoming ominous looking as if "something is coming (could be a storm or darkened image type thing). The Modern Tech Screen that will be used with the Techs should be Zombies and a Horror Movie Looking type image.
I am continuing to work on sounds but Diplo Icons and the Tech Screens remain to be completed.
 
Oh and another unit for this list (top half) would be a new Chainsaw Maniac as the one we have currently doesn't look maniacal enough and his chainsaw is too puny!

What about using Utahjazz's new mummy as Alpha Zombie? Yeah, I know there are no ancient pyramids in Zombie Island, but the unit is good and we'll discover an insane explanation - this scenario is not distinguished for its realism anyway.

Hmmm Possibly a museum on the island?? it just HAPPEN to have an ancient Egypt display there when the nuke goo infested the zombies, and **Presto** Mummy...??? just a thought...I think its from Scooby Doo or something :lol:
 
I rather like the "Scooby Doo" explanation for a mummy appearing in this scenario:lol: That could work well as another Flavored interjection. I really don't believe the mummy would fit the chain for the Alpha Zombie though because the Alpha Zombie is the initial test subject. Good Thoughts just the same.

I've been thinking about a museum too! My angle was the WW1 and WW2 relics that could be made operable with the help of proper Tools, Gasoline and Old Folks to man them... hey, there's something in it for all civs then!
 
Perhaps the "museum" could be the city, with wonders in it that are Govt activated...an Epypt "wing" wonder...a WWI/WWII "display"...Agricultural history "exibition"(donated by Zeb and his family of course)

I cant remember if you can make a Wonder active only during certain Govts or not...but I am thinking you can...All the wonders are in the Museum, and become active depending on who controls it...
 
An idea that I had for one of my scenarios, was to have a museum that contained a "working WWII Atomic Bomb", so, in EFZI2 terms, the first human civ to capture it could upgrade it to a nuke (needing some resources of course).

Also, if you were to put in the museum, the bottom-left hand corner is begging for a city. I can't remember the last time I went there.

Finally, I noticed 2 things whilst playing as the Authorities today:

1. Paul "Snake" Diego can't seem to use his Stealth Attack ability. Does it only work on specific troops?
2. The Police Station location can be built ANYWHERE, not just the Police Station. Wasn't it supposed to require a resource?
 
Is Mr. Tokugawa still in this? If so, the museum could have an ancient Japanese exibhit and he could upgrade to the Samurai included with the PTW extras?

It will be cool if Aaglo desides to lend his unit-making skills to this scenario BTW!
 
The map really isn't that big, much smaller than a regular civ game. As for the museum idea, I think it's awesome! It could be in the middle of the map, and every civ could use it in some way. Zombies could build mummies, Mr. Tokugawa could "upgrade" as Lord Malebeth said, survivors could have old war veterans find gear in there, and upgrade to the American WWII extras guys, (maybe with c'n'p beards) or maybe someone could make an old guy with WWII uniform and an IV with wheels, and The Company and The Authorities could find the "old atomic bomb" thing and make a nuke.
 
Wow...the museum idea has gone from "A way to explain the mummy" and spun into what will be one of the most improtant locations on the island...

Mr Tokugowa upgrading sounds kewl...he is my favorite in the whole game...well him and poor old Abe Peters...Id like to see ole Abe get an adjustment too...so he doesnt just get lost in with the Old War Vets...

Also, I was playing he last version recently(ok today) and was thinking...are the kids invisible to zombies?...they should be...kids can hide places zombies dont "think" to look :lol: ...and zombies have an invisible unit?? I was trying to explain this to myself...KA maybe you could shed some light, on the invisible zombie? :lol:

Ahhh, Disneyland sure was fun, is the movie theatre still needed? I get really busy lately with classes and visit and vacation and all sorry about that.

btw, spunky kids are already invisable toall other units.

Yes, The Police Department has a new Resource I made (Police Chief) which is a Police Chief Hat and necessary to build the Police Department. This has not been set in the Editor yet.

Lord Malbeth...Since Mr Tokugawa is an important "actor" in this "movie", we don't want to just replace him during the "Show" lol. That said, I would be in favor of Providing him with an upgraded Power which would be an upgrade from his obtaining a Ancient Sword for example. This "Upgrade would continue to use Mr Tokugawa as the same Unit but he would then have more strength. Possibilities.

Stormrage...You could download it now but that version does not have the many changes. This New Release will have many improvements.

Spacer One...The Spunky Kids are not set as invisible. King Arthur may change this but I am not sure. The Sneaky Zombie, Sewer Guard and "To Be Continued" Zombies are the general invisible Zombies I know of.

Cloner4000...I completed the Movie Theatre and all Graphics other than Making New Tech Screens and the Diplo Icons.

The "Museum" does have possibilities as another Good addition for this Scenario...we Need to complete all we have now in order to have this Release completed soon. I like the Museum Ideas and think it should be well thought out and developed. This will require many more files of work. Therefore, this would best be added as a separate Update when it can be well developed rather than just haphazardly thrown in now.

I am sure King Arthur will address these questions further.
 
Wow..... If we make the Museum do just a fraction of all the things you people want it to do, it'll be the most powerful wonder in the history of civ.....

But yes, I think there should be a museum. Yes, Mr. Tokugawa should upgrade when you get it. No, the Company and the Authorities should not get nukes from it. I'd be fine if the only special thing you got from capturing the museum was an upgraded Mr Tokugawa, and a mummy unit if playing as the zombies. Not every building in the game has to have some sort of vital importance.
 
I don't think it would be a good idea to add something like that at this stage. There comes a point where you have to stop adding stuff or it will never be done - better to have a well-balanced game with what you have than one that's full of goodies but doesn't play so well. The point of having the play-testing at the moment is to check that what's been added so far works well in the game. If you added new stuff like that then they'd have to start all over again - and then, halfway through the play-testing, someone would have some other bright idea, and it'd be back to the start, and so on. Keep ideas like that for the next update or add-ons, by all means, but I think Vuldacon is right to be wary of adding anything now.

I have corrected several more unit sounds and still working on many others. I Hope to improve as many as possible and make sounds for the units that do not have them.

I am sending all corrected files to King Arthur and he will be sending them to you Testers.
There is now a gold Barracks, Sewer and Harbor for the cities as markers.
The Player Setup now has a changed Random Leader Window to be in keeping with the other graphics there.
The Civilopedia "Concept Icons" have been changed as well.
All Dog Sounds are completed and I managed to adjust the Husky well enough for use as the Attack Dog. Also made sounds and Civilopedia Icons for it. Just wanted to have a Dog rather than the Dire Wolf as the Attack Dog.
The Zombie and Military Zombie have new sounds and changed .ini speeds for improved animation.
Sam Hammer has new sounds and adjusted .ini speed.
The Chainsaw maniac has adjusted sounds.
The Sheep have a new explosion sound.
All Security units and the Chief of Security have added and adjusted sounds.
...Without listing more, I will say that I am about 2/3rds finished with unit sounds.
Testers...I would like to know of any units that either do not have sounds or the sounds need improving.
