EUIOT: The Golden Bull

Because everyone else keeps getting countries near us, which pisses us off because most people would rather invade an NPC than a PC in the early game.

Saxony demands that the pope should organize a crusade against those barbarian muslims Egyptians.

Christos... we haven't even started yet....

I know. But we are faithful Christians and we should kill all Muslims.

I got encircled by Serbia and Hungary and I dont mind, because I'm Bosnia and screw you guys  *Cartman accent*

Yeah, there's a PC England...

It will be a much much sweeter victory than just an NPC.

After a revolution of the feudal lords against monarchy, Saxony gives the feudal lands to the poor farmers and creates the Vouli, a type of parliament, which is composed by the poor farmers, elected by the Emperor. But monarchy of course remains still absolute.

Most crusades, especially at this point, weren't started for actual (or complete) religious reasons. Saxony has nothing to gain and invading the Mameluks.

This doesn't make sense. If the monarchy is absolute, then the Vouli is pointless. Why would feudal lords launch a revolution against the centrist monarchy to established a centralized state with a unicameral house composed of farmers who don't actually affect anything?

What is this I dont even

This doesn't make sense.

It does.

If the monarchy is absolute, then the Vouli is pointless.

It represents the farmers.

Why would feudal lords launch a revolution against the centrist monarchy to established a centralized state with a unicameral house composed of farmers who don't actually affect anything?

The feudal lord started the revolution in order to keep their powers and weaken the emperor. They started to have their own armies. Then they faced the emperor, who with the help of farmers, won.

It represents the farmers.

An ABSOLUTE monarch, by definition, does not take heed of the farmers.

The Feudal Lords didn't just start to have their own armies. They already had armies (the whole point of feudalism). Why would the farmers, who clearly had things under control, even establish a king? Why would they make the king absolute? Why would they establish a parliament that has no power in an ABSOLUTE monarchy?

It is a reward, because they helped the King.

The King was already in power. The farmers didn't establish him. It is like Meiji restoration.

It isn't a reward because an ABSOLUTE monarchy IGNORES the parliament which has NO power.

The King was already in power. The farmers didn't establish him. It is like Meiji restoration.[/QUOTE]

But the fact the King NEEDED the farmers means he SHOULDN'T be an absolute monarch.

Okey. Its a constitutional monarchy. But dont even dare to say that i power-game and it is unrealistic.

I vote we all dogpile Saxony just to kick Christos out of the game.

I will declare war on you, when i have the chance. I will make it my goal for this game.
