European scenario

ok today I was looking through RON and I found the scenarios option under different game types, I found a map where its Cold War europe and its the NATO facing off the soviet union

here comes my question, is it possible to win without the Russians starting armegeddon?

What do you mean by "starting armageddon"?
I´m sure you must, even though I´ve never played it to the late game, but if they included it in the game, it must be winnable...

well i mean as in how to win before the world blows up

Told ya, I´ve never played it till the late game, you just have to conquer as many neutral states as you can, and up their industrial income (territory strenght) as much as you can...

its a scenario, comes with the game, actual soviet union, and its not a conquer the world map, its a quick game where you only have europe

actually its thrones and patriots vanilla, like I had ron, then got throne and patriots

It's one of the 4 scenario Conquer the World maps included with the 'Thrones and Patriots' expansion, which can be found in RoN gold.
As for the actual question, I recomend just sheer force, IE finding and taking territories that gives you an army (I forget it's name , it's represented in the game by the cannonballs stacked on top of eachother. An armory?). And use (but do not waste!) bonus cards, especially military ones during this scenario.

if you get the armageddan counter to one i've never seen the soviets launch any after that.

You´ve never seen it after. But what if it happens before?

a nuclear explosion in germany followed by the red army which i nuke then nuke all the cities and then we have the counter at one after that the counter will rise with some techs then i nuke the soviets some more

i don't know apparently in his games the soviets cause armageddon but not in my game it's odd.

A simple answer to a simple question:
How do you win without Russia nuking the world? Play as Russia and DON'T TOUCH THAT BUTTON!! I did, and steamrolled the States without a single rocket firing. Guess I was just lucky...

an actual scenario, like a map, not the thing where you just move the troops around, the thing i'm talking about is an actual map of Europe

An actual map of Europe? That's odd, I don't have one like that.
Would you be able to provide a picture of this situation? It would help me figure out what exactly is going on.

I played that once or twice. How did they get the Soviets to invade like that? Usually they would just stay at their country and not move their troops to invade, but the first time I played it as the European nations I was actually being invaded.

I also made a modified version of that map where I made everyone in the modern age (they were in Industrial age before) and I played as the Soviets. It was fun.

I don't think theirs any way to stop them from nuking the world into armageddon besides disabling nukes.
