"Event Log" question?

Sorry if this has been asked/answered elsewhere (please point me to that thread if that's the case).

Is there a way to view the "event log" after the fact (and outside of the game itself)?

I ask only because of the release of BtS. Certainly when using the HoF mod (autolog) it's a bonus to be able to go back and review. I thought this might have been something worthy of inclusion in BtS?

Press tab. There are four categories: event log (you know what that is), the chat log (for multiplayer), the combat log (detailing what happened in all of your combats), and Quests (get seven libraries, etc.)

It took a few cracks at it, but I did manage to get it to work.
After checking the thread, I found I had to edit the file to remove the quotes from around the %1, then it works like a charm.

Again thank you for pointing me in the direction...
