Ever had one of your threads COMPLETELY ignored?

Have you ever started a thread in which not a single person bothered to send a reply (or not a single reply until like a month later someone actually dug it up from the oblivion and wrote a reply)? If so tell me your experience and how you felt and what made the thread unappealing.

No, I haven't. That's probably because I don't start threads unless I have a really good reason. In the 15 months I've been at CFC I've started maybe 20 threads total...

I'm with sparrowhawk I havent made all to many threads here anyway, Im sure there are threads at deserted ezboards that havent been replied to but thats somthing else entirly. As for here, no not that I can recall.

From my observations, threads are unpopular especially when they get TOO specifically focused on a single detail, or if they are in the tech support or other games forums. Ironically, threads with the most pointless or overly debated topics that often get the most attention (from the way it looks, this thread might be one of them ), especially where the reply could be as simple as a few words.

I've had that before. Two recent threads, and it's driven me crazy.

"10 General Points on Modern Warfare" on the Strategy Articles board has been for the most part ignored; only one person published feedback. Even with that it got published in the war academy.

"Thread Suscribtions Empty" on this forum. I was wondering on how I can't view threads before Nov. 15.

One or two in the Other Games section. It was about PS2 games. One or two more where only floppa and I were around talking about specific PS2 games, more-or-less.

I had one, right after PTW came out I started a thread that asked if anyone had changed their mind, and decided NOT to buy PTW after the inititial bug reports started flooding in. Not one person responded, which in reality, answered my question: obviously NO ONE changed their mind!

Of course, I was asking this on CFC. What answer was I expecting?

I've had silly threads that I wrote and posted in 3 minutes or less get 50 or more replies and I've had well thought out deep, psyche-probing ones that barely got any replies and were quickly suffocated by Iraq, Bush, favorite shoe color, etc. Hey what are you gonna do? Thats life

Here's something to make you feel better, many great men (and probably women too) were ignored and ridiculed for decades until everyone realized they were geniuses (somethings not until years after their deaths).
