Ever since patch, event queue, battle stat, and leader conversations are missing

I've looked around in all the options and in this thread and elsewhere but I don't see anything like it! D:

Since the patch today there are no event queue items, when leaders talk to me I don't get any dialog boxes much of the time (excepting war declarations and peace offerings it seems) and there is no statistical analysis of combat.

Is this happening to anyone else or is mine just messed up for some reason?

I have dialog boxes but I loaded an old game and the AI was denouncing like hell... in the 2 turns I played there were like 20 denouncements.

Yeah I started a new game and everything, and restarted the client a few times

I had a few problems too, but was ok after rebooting, for some strange reason.

Rebooting probably cleared the memory entirely, and lingering traces were the problem?

Please check in steam the integrity of the files. It should then redownload some corrupted files. We know the problem from some examples after the last patches, where in some languages the leader texts were missing.

I had a few problems too, but was ok after rebooting, for some strange reason.

Ugh I guess I should try this eventually. Steam repair found a few things to repair to see if that works. I really hate rebooting. (Of the several computers I use only this one is Windows, I'm not used to that! )
