EXIV - Final Regent Challenge

Problem is that this a standard map and with not the greatest land mass. 5000 points may be a bit too hard, but you never know.

Speedy early turns. Too much to do, not enough time to do anything...

2950 - Warrior Code started. Warriors scout and Settler sent........ East.

2900 - Movement and scouting. A whale is revealed off the east coast creating ideal spot for new city on east coast. Settler sent towards that spot.

2850 - Meet with Babylon. Trade them Masonry for Warrior Code + 10 gold. We have Alphabet and pottery on them.

2800 - Orleans founded. It'll have a fish, a whale, shielded grassland, and we'll be able to get irrigation out that way easily enough. It's only got one tile overlap with Paris. This leaves another good spot to get both gold mines two spots down from the shielded grasslands. The Colossus would be a lovely addition to this town in time.

2750 - Warrior completes in Paris. Granary started. Scouting continues

2710 - Scouting.

2670 - Scouting.

2630 - Scouting.

2590 - Scouting.

2550 - Scouting. Goody hut revealed to North. We still have Alphabet and Pottery over Babylon.

I hope I did this right, if not please forgive me and show me my mistakes.
Inherited turn: Changed paris from granary to spearman. Should be done next turn.
2510: Paris finsihes spearman. switched to wealth for a turn
2470: Switched Paris from wealth to Settler, due in 8. Started a road to a proposed city sight of mine (road part way through, about 4 squares roaded) Hut gives us maps
2390orleans builds warrior starts another. Fight barbs, gain a promotion and 25 gold.
2350: Exploration
2310: Wheel Discovered. Writing in 22 turns. Horses near orleans.
2270: Exploration
2230, attacked by barbs, no promotion.Goody hUt in sight
2190: Orleans builds warrior.Starts settler (worker would be good to)
2150: Paris builds settler, starts on temple. pop goody hut and get barbs, up to you to fight them.

2390

oooh... I'd say switching granary => spearman was a bad decision. I just recently built an early granary (in one of my personal games), and those things are worth more than GOLD. Let's see what happens now. Building a granary now would put us behind too much, especially with the surrounding territory (correct me if I'm wrong). Good luck!

Same here. A granary would have made for a good settler factory.

*looks around for the save*

umm, where's the save? :)

Very sorry, I hadn't the time to do it until now. And I'm afraid that I'm a bit paranoid about always having a garrison in a city and I am not overly fond of granaries. I can not get the save to get here, just wait a while as I experiment.

Strange, I can't seem to download it...
File System Error (1026)

that one worked. (the zip) :)

skip me, I hurt my hand, and it's very hard to play singlehandedly. :) (especially when it's your playing hand!).

Ok, I have room for this one then :D

Where's my spot on the Roster?

EDIT: Never mind, I'm guessing that I follow God?

I  Joan

Are you still in? Looks like EXIII might still go on. If so, yea - you're after God.

BTW - God, are you still in EXIII?
