Trade is gone, Tribes have disappeared, and Colonies have gone on to better things. Kinda sounds like the modern day. So I guess in 20 (mod) years I'll have to remove Exploration and every Attrition except from Fallout.

(Minor) bug with the DLL. No point bothering HC about it.

I'm also getting weird things, like production-yielding marhses and tiles that yield more food when I settle a city near them. And I get extra gold from settling cities on resources. Could those issues be related to ExCE?
 
Yeah, that was my initial thought, but those things happen wayyy too randomly for me to check them. Sometimes I don't get them at all, sometimes they happen all the time.

Wait really? That makes me kind of sad, I was looking forward to what you were doing with trade (based on your TBD spoiler) plus I was glad there was going to be proper implementation of the Grand Canal. What happened/changed?

Trade was released and then removed a long while back. But that does remind me to remove those TBD sections.
 
So having started a few games using the YNAEMP v. 23, I've noticed that the luxuries included with this mod don't seem to show up (though the luxuries from More Luxuries do), and tribes don't either (though both showed up without using the YNAEMP mod). I did modify the TSLs to include the Tupi, though I wouldn't think that would cause issues.

Is this a known issue, and if so is there any way to fix it?


Found the seventh version and trying it.

EDIT: Explored most of South America, and none of Exploration resources show up.

EDIT: So upon clearing the cache, and exploring both Africa and South America with different civs, I'm seeing obsidian and oak, but none of the other resources (though if sulfur or rubber were present, I wouldn't know about them).
 
Might be a good idea to leave ExCE alone until JFD can refocus on it. That being said, I imagine he appreciates people testing the mods.

What other mods do you happen to have installed, if any?
 
Just a heads up for future updates, CBP compatibility and such...

CBP recently replaced the Mint with the Customs House, which has a different role and no local resource requirement.

It looks like the copper addition to Building_LocalResourceOrs for Mint limits the new building to copper sites only. And the +2 gold is also probably no longer relevant, in that context.
 
does exce has compatibility with EE mod? I enacted both mods and found explorers were unlocked in two different techs(one is navigation and the other is exploration from EE)
 
For what its worth I've been using ExCE for every game I've played the last few months and it has not caused late-game crashes. I wasn't sure from your posts if you thought this crash always occurred, but just wanted to add a datapoint.

No, not yet.

Can you please issue a hotfix to the great scout not leveling up issue? Especially now, that CCC is released.

Regarding shipwrecks (great concept, btw)...

I generally play on huge maps and I'm finding the number of shipwrecks to be way higher than what's probably intended or ideal. When I find one, I often find another 4 in short order which creates sort of a Pac Man mini-game :yumyum:. Further, the AI doesn't seem to hunt for these with the same enthusiasm as the early ruins, so it's mainly just me gobbling up heaps of golden age points, land and population boosts.

To address this, I'm looking at JFD_GetRandom. It's used for a number of things besides shipwreck placement, so I presume the easiest thing is to just change the actual arguments passed to lower and upper. If I'm reading it correctly, passing (1,1) instead of (1,3) should return game.rand(3) + 1, yielding a value of 1 or 2. Is that correct?

Maybe I've just gotten "lucky" with the past few maps, but I'm seeing a lot of max returns from this function and it has a large impact on population, territory and GA frequency. The land grabs will even sometimes eat into already claimed territory (which is interesting). Anyone else find similar outcomes in their games?

For future versions, it might also be nice to see the rewards for shipwrecks be something other than those assigned to ruins (if that's possible). Perhaps a more limited set that better fits the shipwreck concept... art and artifacts, gold etc. Maybe even some tie-in to Piety and Prestige. Finds like population, production and land from tribes are a bit... hard to fathom :mischief:

I have a minor question and then a CTD to report.

Minor Question: Are certain tribes/consulates intended to provide no benefits? E.g., their description has no benefits, only maintenance cost. (If this is NOT intended, I can post a picture of what this looks like in game for me.)

CTD: I have a CTD that occurs between 311-312 on standard speed. It seems to occur on Isabella's turn during the AI, so I don't know what she's doing.
