-All the tribes spawn on the same horizontal, not sure if this is a coincidence or something weird with the code

I noticed that too. Apparently, the horizontal line is the centermost one - it suggests there may be something wrong with the Y-axis part of the code. At least it's playable so, the tribes fit well on the equator. Not as bad as spawning on the southernmost horizontal, I think. :p

EDIT: Also, now I'm having a 'little' problem with loading saved modded games. The game crashes to plain desktop with no error messages on the "Configuring game data" screen as if some vital mod hadn't been enabled, before I can't even get to the DoM screen. Nothing in the logs - not even a crash dump. Not your problem currently, JFD, it could be another mod as I had loads of them installed. I'm now reinstalling every single mod and drastically decimating my MODS folder only to updated mods. Coming back if the problem persists. Now it's time for yet another new TSL game from stratch (with P&P, yay!). *sigh* Wish someone made the early game the most interesting part of the game just for the sake of all this restarting... :rolleyes:

Yes, this is my problem too using ECE v. 4 and CP V. 66. Lua log just says "initializing..."
and the db log looks like this:

I'm going to try removing the colony part and see if that makes a difference.

Weird error coming up. After updating to the most recent version, with trading, I can't make any trade without being forced to trade World Maps and Capitulation. Obviously this ties into CPP and the Civ IV diplomatic features, but this error only popped up once I updated EXCE, so I think its tied into that.

It makes the game almost unplayable, since I can't trade anything.

Also, all the sudden its treating Wheat as a luxury resource I can trade. Is that supposed to happen?

Any ideas?

Would it be possible to allow the player to choose which tiles Colonies work? It would tie in with the conceit that Civ's always had where you use the "city governor" to do so, and helps civs who already have an incentive to forward settle (like Spain, who wouldn't be able to work a half-a-world-away NW unless it has a gold yield).

If I have 2/3 trades (e.g. I'm the Dutch and I have a Trader and a Market and a (e.g.) Citrus Market) then I can build another Market to take me to 4/3 trades.

Dutch can support two resource Markets with a Trader and a Market.

Some users in the CP subforum reported crashes on the 2/17 v (at around turn 20-30) that didn't occur previsouly, which Gazebo may have fixed in the latest version.
 
I can confirm at the moment that it seems to be the community patch, i'm using the 2/16 version and have had no crashes.

Edit: That is, until I load my save and click next turn.............

I hope it's so and will be fixed. The game constantly CTD's around turn 43, a little after I founded Ecumenical Patriarchy which I have yet to get past. Another CTD around turn 5 and 20.

I have enabled Closer Cities, CP, ExCE, Ethnic Units, E&D, CulDiv, P&P, More Luxuries, all your civ packs and MC's Buccaneers and Polynesia.

Update: can't get past turn 43 anymore. :(
EDIT: Let's try again with the brand new Community Patch 2-19 installed. No progress...

I'm experiencing a small problem:
My game crashes(with no message) if i try to load a save while in game. Or If something pops up on my desktop while in game. Also jungle is 3strong5me.
 
160 Turns and not one crash for me, and that's actually quite unusual. Mods == P&P, ExCE, CP, CulDiv, E&D. So ExCE is perfectly stable alongside my other mods and in its own right.
 
I just reached turn 135 with just the ExCE mod installed. I'll probably try with the ones you said and see what happens.
 
Maybe for me problem is much deeper (outdated version, local uncureable bugs) well, sad but okay.

I can't enjoy my own civs without finding bugs where there aren't any, and most mod civs from other authors don't fit my playstyle (those that do I've already played). Anyway, I wanted to test it out unadulterated. Any CTD could be from pushing the game too hard, or from a bug in one my civs. I wanted to be sure ExCE and P&P were stable on their own.
 
My trouble is I'm crashing when I load a saved game. Is anyone else experiencing that?
 
Hey JFD, I sent you a message on steam (even though you were offline, I figured it would be a more reliable method than CivFanatics PMs and wasn't worthy of a thread post), and since you seem to currently be active here but still offline on steam, I might as well relay it: I'm working on a CSA update and figured I'd add ExCE support. Do you happen to know what Colonial City List would be best/most accurate for them? Is there just a generic "JFD_Anglo" culture, or does America have a unique one?

You could go for the unique list for America, which they do have (just copy it over and replace the appropriate tags), or you can just assign the linguistic type to the same as America (JFD_Germanic and JFD_Latinate). See here for more info.
