Situation: loaded a small (Middle Ages) C3C save as Sumerians. Went to F1 (Domestic) screen, hit "despotism" to launch a revolution. I got an illegal operation error and the game crashed. A quick check of my system resources let me know that over 90% of my resources were being used. Usually, onle 30% is used even after I play various games. After a restart the problem was clear. I'll upload a save, but warning: I use a custom search folder.

Here's the save. You should just be able to hit F1 and despotism and experience the same thing I did. I saved right before I hit F1. (Because I'm a sissy and planned to reload if I drew a nine-turn anarchy. )

I downloaded your save and attempted to reproduce your error, but everything worked fine.

For a second I though my browser crashed until I relized it was a picture. I did have some memory problems myself though also. It never crashed but my swap file somtimes got bigger by 100 meg compared to normal civ usage.

Usually on my 512MB system, C3C can grow to 300+ MB of virtual memory eaten up before crashing. This can take up to 3-4 hours of playing.
