What are the actual logos for the factions? Can anyone show me pictures of the real faction logos? For example, what does the U.N. Peacekeepers logo looks like?

What about the symbolism behind the logos? Here are my conjectures:

UN - The border is Ivy, representing peace. The lower two circles are Alpha Centauri Prime and Secondary, as represented by the flowing bits coming out from them. The third smaller circle is Chiron. All this represents humanity's goal of unity on this world.

Believers - The cross is fairly well known as a Christian symbol. I'm not sure which particular style of cross that is, but assume it may provide clues as too Miriam's religious background. As for the empty circle juxtaposed with the rectangle I am less sure. I wonder if it is a specific symbol or just representative of a hooded person(monk perhaps).

Morganites - The logo seems very corporate in nature. The triangle probably has some significance. I am not sure, but the hawk in the circle seems more militaristic then the Morganites.

Spartans - Its unique as its the only hexagon logo. My guess would be the six pillars of victory or some kind of strategic symmetry. The rest of the logo completely evades me.

University - The atom at the center seems radiant. This suggests that enlightenment lies in understanding the physical universe, hence an atom. I assume the crescents are some form of existing iconography.

Hive - This yin/yang symbol is a bit distorted. I am not sure if the distortions have symbolic or identity purposes. Maybe they are just to attach faction identity to the logo.

Gaia - The green border seems very organic in nature. The inside relief is also a flower, but the colors seem unusually aggressive for a pacifist society.

Good insight; I would not have noticed the subtly agressive colours of the Gaian symbol if you hadn't mentioned it. The spikes on the outer edges are thorns, I think.

As for the Believers, I used to think the cross was surrounded by an Omega, symbolising eternity.

I had the same thought as elgado about the Omega, but I'd say regarding the spartan logo, a downward V or arrow is the symbol used by the ancient greek city-state which they take their name from. The university's Logo is not crescents but if you look carefully the bottom is attached and hinged, it's forceps of some kind (representing a tool of research)

The forceps around the atom is an interesting observation. Perhaps it is because the atom by itself does not lead to knowledge and enlightenment, but rather through observations made possible by use of each side to grasp it.

So, the question is what does the color duality represent? Quantitative and Qualitative analysis?

The Gaians is a thorned stem surrounding a flower. The flower represents reproduction and the perfection of natural processes, while the thorned stem clearly indicates their will to safegaurd it. While Environmentalism does have pacifist tendencies, any Ecologist knows that nature can be violent and ruthless.

As for the Hive, recall that Yang is quoted in the Mono-Polar magnets tech saying that 'Yin-Yang Dualism can be over-come', with sufficent enlightenment. Thusly is half covered in blue, that half is overcome with enlightenment. The other half, if I were to really reach I would guess is three layered. The first layer, white, is the purity and nobility of their motives. The second layer, black, is the harsh road of adversity it requires. The third layer, white in the center, is the enlightenment attained though acting towards their 'greater good'. Along with that, of course, it's a Ying Yang which has significance in and of itself.

Oh your God.

The logos are in the link Perfection posted.

I never liked the expansion much, so I'm not familiar enough with the ideologies of the factions to venture a guess.
