Can you clear fallout in Orbis? My Mechanos are currently shut off from the world by the glowing fruits of their exploding labour!

Mechanos Techpriests can cast Vitalize. Is this able to get rid of fallout? (I will check in worldbuilder and get back to you).

Ok I just checked - Vitalize does not remove fallout. Sanctify however does. The easiest way I know of for the Mechanos to acquire sanctify is through Guild of the Nine special mercenary recruitment. Look for a mage or adept with the Life I promotion, you should find one eventually (just close and reopen the window for a new set of recruit options).

First, I have to say I did not know that.

Second, How many things are there out there that are exploitable by the users like this?

Third, all the people that constantly beat the game on Immortal are you doing things of this nature? I ask because I wonder how many "tricks" are being used by people that then report back on Balance and such.

Personally I have no problem with keeping a game going that is otherwise a lost cause via any means. If ya had to use the world builder to remove them, then feel free as far as I care. Or if this method is more your style then more power to you. I am not criticizing the act by someone that NEEDS it.

I just wonder how many people do that sort of thing just by habit with out even realizing they are by passing the intention of the thing.

OR am I missing that this is a perfectly acceptable thing to do and I am an idiot for not taking advantage?

Heh, if you think that's bad wait until you've tried my "bankrupt my neighbor AI by handing him 50 high level mercs just when he declares war" strategy. Since the guild cheesiness gives you so much gold it's kind of fun to turn the excess into all kinds of odd units to the AI. Heck, some even turn the entire game around as strong units can take out a lot of the chaff that AI likes to toss at each other.

I actually liked the idea that mechanos can't clean up their own mess. Glory to the machine spirit and all but when your robots start leaving piles of depleted plutonium around you know you should have desisted. (Yes that was a planetfall pun).

Sorry for not responding earlier

Fallout should expire on itself after a few turns. I don't think there is any way to speed this up.
I think of adding in 0.30 worker order to clear heaunted lands (at Knowledge of the ether perhaps?), and maybe one for fallout, too. But not sure yet.

Regarding exploits, I am trying to hunt them down.
This particular one will be gone in 0.30. Both mercenary spells are gone already, I am writing a new one, simillar to magnadine unique spell.

I understand you can try and program out true Exploits and I understand some will always get by even the best programmers.

Again I don't hold anything against anyone that uses such a tactic. If you enjoy the game then that is what is important. I just wonder how many people find the game to easy because they have found that perfect tactic and exploit Tactic X every game.

For instance I constantly hear about people running Aristocracy and Agrarian together and how great it is. Therefore I purposely do NOT use that combo. It may not be an exploit, it may be intended but if the game is too easy for you Then change up the way you play the game. Quit taking advantage of the weaknesses you have found and approach it from another direction.

Sorry for the Derail
