Reddog, i like them as is. :D

:nuke: Cheers Senior Elder Thorgrimm :nuke:

Gents, this screenie is of the latest city type Reddog has done for the mod. I would also like to point out the new destroyed city gfx and the NCR Ranger in the lower right hand corner. Reddog also did the destroyed city gfx. :goodjob:

Reddog, we still need the walled versions of the other cities. :)

Hry Thor did the files I sent you work without error? I was worried that they would not work, and if they didnt im sorry that you had to tinker with them. And the walled cities do you mean the bot factories?

Reddog, all i did was just replace your pallette with my Fallout civ pallette and she worked like a charm, so no biggie. :D

All the city types but the Junktown have no walled version, just the unwalled ones. Don't know if i lost them, but i don't have any for the other city types.

OKay sorry for the mess, Ill dig through my HD to find the walled cities, i still have to finish the bot ones though.

Reddog, no problems at all. :D If it wasn't for you we would still be using that crappy happy terrain, and using standard civ cities. So me replacing the pallette is NO problem, in fact i like problems like that. ;) As that means we are one more step closer to the goal. :D

If NCR uses the junktown cities thing, maybe in the later ages, they should look more like the adobe like building that are actually in NCR. Just a suggestion.

Big Shooter, the culture settings are not final yet. That was just a screenie of the city in game. :)

Well, here's a hospital for all those wounded soldiers or the desperate addicted! :nuke:

I didn't have a time to compile them in one pic, so get them all and tell me which one(s) you like and I'll work from there. Hm, that is IF you like any.
I'm open for suggestions.

I love RedDog's work. I assume the terrain will be different in game, right?
If not the junk cities look awesome, but not with those mountainous terrain. They need wastes. Anyway.

Notice they have specific names. Tell me which by name.

The first two of the previous post and the last two of this one, are the building-less versions. The otheres are just ot offer a view of how buildings look in them.

Hi folks, Just wondering who this mod is going? I only really got here because you folks are the first to appear when you search for fallout mod on google. Anyways it would be nice to help you guys if anything comes up, Im a real addict to fallout so I know almost every history there is to know about the game :scan: (I mean like a BIG addict). Also I have done some texturing and mapping before (hl) so I think I maybe could help you out on that front.

That's so freakin lame of you! Don't you think I can see that your textures just are copies from HOMM!

Your fraud is exposed

Hi, I'll not make any comments to that statement, other than it is:
1)Heroes of Might and magic
2)I didn't claim they're mine, or my "textures", they're work I did using the editors.

They're my conversion according to what I think fits the game.
And don't worry, I'll not take credit of anything that isn't completely mine when I'll release them or the mod will be out. Everything will be in the text files with it.

Other than that, and if you can help and Thorgrimm wants it, you're welcome.

(Edited for spelling mistakes)

Ok, I guess we are on the same team then. I mean the same "wannabe" team then. (Didn't know that flamescreen was with the team)

But apart from that I totally think that this mod should'nt include textures from other games (than fallout of course), because (as you maybe find quite obvious) it's lame!

Rather edit your own textures than editing other peoples' work.

A mod in civ is already other people's work. I don't see why should we limit it in a said area of games(eg FO1,2 FoT), if it fits.
I could make my own textures but I don't have time to, I'll do it only if the core team finds the ones I do totally unacceptable.

I could do the same work in FoT editors as well, but it would take much more time. This mod is based in FO it's not FO. You'll see that if you'll stick around. As in everything, it's supposed to be for fun, not imitate completely and absolutelly something.

Then , it should perhaps be called, "FO total conversion for Civ3" or something similar, right? Though I can see your difference of opinion.
Unfortunatelly there are a lot of people in FO that wanted exactly like they want it. We can do without them. I hope you're not one. They only exist to destroy Fallout's potential, as I see it.

So you think we should use HOMM textures as "healing huts"?

Well, I don't remember everything in HOMM, i'll have to look at it, but if it fits, yes, as this Mod starts 2085 and covers centuries. It's the FO world as Thor and some of us interprete the world, in Civ, so some compromises have to be made.

I don't get, why you call them textures though. The texture is what you use while rendering to give a model realism. The done work can be named what it is, eg, Soldier/Marketplace/whatever.

Btw, there is a difference between using the graphic and its name. Civ has Btfd Medicine that gives units ability to self heal, as a wonder/small wonder. If I took the graphic I'd name it something that fits the FO games.

Cheers.

Thor I seem to be missing the walled cities (I thought I made them, guess not) anyway, ill make some new ones soon.
@ flamescreen, the terrain was heavily touched up and re-colored from the original civ3 terrain, I believe a combination of the burnt forests, toxic marshes and destroyed cities that the terrain will look wastelandish enough. I have made other custom terrains that more accurately resembled those from the fallout series but because of the limitations of civ3 (i.e. 256 colors and scale) I believe that this will be the final terrain set.

PS I agree with flamescreen's view on using multiple sources to create gfxs. Although some wont truely be falloutish, the result will be better as there will be more variety in styles and gfxs that will make this a great mod rather than having just a rusted tin shack for everything.

As I told you, that's really something! :groucho:

Now do you guys have a website where you post news about the mod and stuff alike? That would really help the modders and the people that awaits this mod. Otherwise you have to dig around deep old forums which ain't funny, I can tell ya'!
