Fallout mod.

Regarding City Names ... would you be able to post the current name list and the optimum number you want for each civilisation ...

I am not very familiar with the game ... but I'm sure the verteran Fallouters could come up with names ... and your list would give a feel for each civ's naming conventions :D
 
I actually think the idea to create one basic unit to be created by the small wonders and then upgrade it based on each civ is quite good. And you most definitely can upgrade through units your civ can't build, look at the RoX and RaR mods.

The basic idea if you dont get it already would be for a small wonder to create unit A. A could be upgraded to B, then C, then D or whatever. B would be a brotherhood of steel unit. C could be enclave, D could be NCR.

Well, it would work fine for the human player but not so well for the AI, who doesn't upgarde units often (if at all). In effect it would shut off the AI from all higher level units... not so good in my opinion.

I gather that each civ had it's own naming style ...

The group of survivors that were in bunkers would they have names like Haven, Sanctuary, Safety, Encave, Shaft, Bunker ... that type of thing? ...

The ones who survived in wretched agony ... Meatworks, Astrodome, Crossroads, Eddisontown, Hooperville, Founders, Safeway, Freeport, End of the Road, Exodus, Happen Chance, Golden Arches, Giant K, Western Farms, Settlers Green ... that type of thing?

Awaiting posting so we can assist in the minor detail of expanding city names ...

The AI doesn't upgrade much in the regular game because it never has much money. You can make upgrades as cheap as you want, even free, especially when the units can't be built in a city.
 
Well if someone will provide a suitable Small Wonder say for Combat armor, I will give it a shot. :)

So perhaps you can use for the empire of the circuit just a way of counting like outpost one or alpha or something like that cause I think they woulldn't mind any names.... Or something like central supply core. Perhaps you can also find some names in smac...
 
Back in June Reddog said that he had the terrain buildings finished but only needed to tweak the pallette. Well here it is October and I can't wait any longer. So what I did was copy his screenie and turn it into a PCX file. I then edited it so that it would be civ compatible.

It has some major problems like the razor wire did not transfer as they were removed as jpeg items when converted to PCX format. Most of the buildings are ok though, but not as good as Reddog could have done if he had finished them. :sad:

Below is a screenie of some of them. I added c3c's razor wire to replace the one that was FUBARed.

OK folks thor left for a little while so until he gets back I am in charge of the mod. So I will once again issue a call for help. Besides me theres 1 other user testing so I despertly need help.

These are still the rules

Here are the rules for the playtest.

1. I WILL expect daily report posts in the testers section.

2. We will have a MSN meeting once a week. Time and date to be determined later.

3. if you are going to be absent and cannot make your daily reports let me know either by PM or in a post in the testers section.

4. If you miss 3 daily reports or two weekly meetings without a notification, you will be put on notice and if the reports or meetings are missed again without any notice, you will be removed from the testing group.
