The following quote is from the game: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime -- Lao Zi"

A friend of mine who is a grad student in Asian Studies, currently studying Lao Zi's Tao Te Ching, suggested that this quote might be falsely attributed (I toned down what he actually said). The quote might not even be Chinese in origin as I also found it under "proverbs commonly attributed to be Chinese": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proverbs_commonly_attributed_to_be_Chinese

While the quote could be true, is it possible to inform the developer about this possibility of error?

I though it was when he was talking to Peter under the same context when he told him he would make him fishers of men. But I tried using the link you posted and found nothing either. Perhaps I am mistaken then. (maybe in proverbs then). I would have to dig around a bit. Until then I will stand corrected.

From what I hear of Lao Zi he wasn't exactly the type to do a lot of fishing. How did he survive anyway? Charity?

I wouldn't trust Civilopedia as a reliable source of information either. Actually I'd go further and say that wiki is definitely more reliable than civilopedia to me.

Also, the quote about not running after 2 rabbits or you'll loose both is not native american, or not only, to say the least.

Make a man a fire and you keep him warm for the rest of the day.

Set a man on fire and you keep him warm for the rest of his life.

You can write your own articles on wikipedia, and edit other peoples. One man edited another's biography to say that he was a suspect to the Kennedy shooting.

I think you got the "teach a man to fish" quote mixed up with the story where Jesus feeds 500 people with fish and bread.
Note to all: Please dont use Wikipedia as a back up to any of your arguments

LMAO! This should be in the history books.

As for the fish thing: Yes, it was by Lao Zi, who is also known as Lao Tzu or Lao Tse. Look up fish and any of his names on Google and you'll find his famous quote. Try searching "give a man a fish" and jesus on Google and I doubt you'll find him saying it.
