The find city option in Kingdom menu reveals Nottingham is to the north and slightly east of London.
560AD Population 13.65 million. End WLT*D's as pop growth slowing. Set 30% lux and 4 Elvises to stop disorder. Set 60% tax and 10% science as we are down to 33 gold and need to refil coffers. Land Diplomat near London and discover it has no city walls and only 1 phalanx and 1 warrior defending. Attacking Crusader loses to phalanx. Next Crusader defeats warrior. Chariot destroys wounded phalanx. London changes from half built wall to complete warrior. Two other Crusaders moving towards London find English city of York (2). I think I attacked a turn too early.
570AD English Warrior attacks out of London and Destroys Crusader and then requests meeting which I refuse. Senate support continueing war with English and Crusader crushes Warrior to capture London which is immediatly set to build Diplomat.
A Trireme with reinforcements on board bumps into an English Trireme and is destroyed.

So we now have 36 Settlers, 59 Musketeers, 1 Elephant, 6 Crusaders, 3 Trireme, 2 Diplomats and 3 Caravans. Population is 14.4 Million.
I would have liked to capture the Hanging Gardens of Nottingham but ran out off turns. At least I got to complete Leo's. At this rate the game will be over before it is my turn again but I have certainly enjoyed this game and learned a lot.
