Faster between turns?

I have learned to use the ctrl/alt/del function to kill everything but Systray and Explorer, it speeds up pretty nice.

@sabo10 What size maps/difficulty lvl/number of AI civ's do you normally have ? i tend to play monarch custom huge maps with max civ's. Those little details will play a huge role on how fast your turns load.

I ususally play on a large map, I've played all levels up to Monarch so far, the default # of civs for large (8 I believe)
Should I try Max # of civs??? HOw many is that????
