Favorite Civics Sequence

I'm curious what some of your favorite civic combinations are for various strategies (culture, resarch, military etc). I started a new game w/ v34 on emperor and tried a new civic blend that ultimately didn't pan out so well. Since I'm really opposed to revolutions outside of GA, I watched as I fell from Barely 1st to a distant 3rd by 10000BC and started getting my butt kicked in the wonder race. Not that thats a problem, I'd just rather have a shot at early wonders like HG and GW than having to conquer them later.

Looking for some opinions and lively discussion
