Favourite new diplo music?

Joao is my BTS favorite, my overall favorite is Asoka's late game music.
Pacal sounds like someone is passing gas in the background.
Willem's clown music rocks.
Justinian is pretty powerful, it makes you sit up and play nice.

I don't know if it's a new music since I always play random with random ai's (since they're in since warlords I don't suppose it's new) but in my last game I had the celts nearby. I loved to zoom in on his cities to hear the celt's great music.

Why's it inappropriate, or like Burger King? Listening to it now, it reminds me of the Deus Ex music done on a piano.

Mine is Joao's early diplo music. I think it's beautiful and haunting. Does anyone know where it's from or what it's based on?

João's, by far, and then Willem's. As for the diplo music for the original civs, I like Catherine's best. But then, that may also be because, to quote Red in "The Shawshank Redemption", "I love that . .. .. .. . she does with her hair".

João, most definitely. Probably has to do with the fact I identify myself with my own culture, but I just find the music extremely beautiful. Prefer the early version.

Joao's music is frightfully boring.

I really like a lot of the diplo music, but I can't stand most of the normal in-game music (it's way too overbearing), so I tend to have it turned off more often than not (any way of getting diplo music with no normal music?). I didn't even know that there were different versions of the music before this thread

I love Gilgamesh's music (especially early), as well as Joao's (again, especially early, the late one sounds a bit like he's trying to seduce me - not with that hat, mister!)
Charlemagne's late one is great too.

I also have a nostalgia thing for the vanilla ones that are based on the cheesy PC speaker tunes from Civ I

If you want to hear the new songs, open up your Beyond the Swords folder, and go Assets -> sounds -> Diplomacy. All the leader songs new to BtS are in there.

I think he's referring to the fact that he doesnt have BtS yet.

I checked for BtS videos on youtube yesterday and was very disappointed to find there were none beside the official trailers and video reviews. So I guess not, unfortunately.

Hit ctrl+M during gameplay. This should shut off the regular soundtrack but still keep the diplo music.
