Hi there.
I would like to encourage all of you to post your screenshots here, which you think either:
-picture a cool gameplay scene
-give a great feel for what Fall from Heaven is like
-are artistically valuable (read: look nice, maybe of a combat, a flying camera shot, a nicely built up empire with roads and improvements and stuff)

(so, dont hesitate, any screen is welcome ;) but maybe you want to turn off grids and all those gameplay related help stuff (like resource icons, etc.) before capturing the shot)

The purpose of this thread is to gather a collection of all kind of screenshots, which then can be used to attract new players, whet appetite for the civs, perhaps find some more actual shots for the screenshots section in the FfH download thread or the Homepage.

wet appetite? you mean whet I guess. oh yea, threat should be thread. you weren't completely awake this morning were ya? :)

Anyways, typo stuff aside, I agree on the screenshot thread as the FFH funny screenshot thread has dissapeared into the abyss so to speak.

Also, I'm sure funny screenshots would be allowed here as well. :)

A few quick ones:

Hope you like some

How did you do that siege one? The maps are pretty cool too.

Photoshop : ) Well I first used 'blank' picture of city, with 'bare map' on, with no units or anything. Then I took screenshots of units, used photoshop to cut them and paste multiple times, and of course scale them to look realistic. Then took screenshots of fighting units to add them to front lines. Then added some dead to lie around, took care that trees cover troops realistically, etc. etc.

Also note flag in the center of the Evermore. City used to end right there, but I 'expanded' it beyond the flag with photoshop to look bigger and 'more real'.

And also, I should say that I was Elf here and that Sidar attacked me. Siege of Evermore was hard, bloody fight that, in the end, I lost, the city fell to Sidar, and even though it was liberated later, the Ljosalfar never recovered, the decline of Ljosalfar Kingdom begun with that day and few years later, with the attack of Svarltalfar came what one call the 'Dark Age of Elvenkind' and the others the restoration of Ancient state under Winter Court.

At first I thought, what a great spot for my second city. Then I had to reconsider::eek:

Barbatos and Archeron as flatmates means I am in for a very funny siege indeed.

I managed to steal hidden nationality with a mimic resulting in this monster. It was 99%+ against anything and had so many promotions you couldn't even see the unit strength and level in the bottom left corner of the screen:

I guess this worker here got the heroic strength promotion from mining so much, hehe.

I don't know when that worker got mutated (there is no text alerting you of it if it's through the chaos mana), but I think it was from the random effect of my chaos mana. I know it wasn't from Loki since I hadn't used his mutation spell yet. Besides, he is on the other side of the map in Hippus lands.

Looks like Renegade Hill literally went renegade.

This is using ctrl+z btw.

Also, I checked and Minister Koun is not teamed or vassalized to Sheelba.

It seems quite odd that Basium would choose to reprimand or decomission himself.

And yet not all that surprising that he would be torturing prisoners.

Love the screenshots and roleplay Jopa. If FfH ever works in pitboss we are definitely going to do a game together.

The first screenshot makes me think all those Bannor are contemplating the dangerousness of those cows. Also the seige one is very nice work but i think if i was in one of the armies i'd be warily eyeing that giant pig to the north of the city. I'm not trying to be critical, just kidding you. I liked the monochrome maps as well. Anyway, nice work!

Maybe the advisor's crazy since she's in a department that does not yet exist.

That's me trying to recapture my city with Acheron and some air elementals summoned by Hemah (I think) a few tiles away. Funny enough Abashi didn't even try to attack Acheron so all I had to do was sit and press the nuke buttons until the sitting ducks (the dragon and a couple STR 14+ units) were wiped. Anyway, not having a real dragon duel was a bit of a letdown. I was prepared (and hoping) for a hard fight, me being the underdog. But my Acheron won thanks to Abashi's suicidal tendencies.

If only Acheron would be facing him... that'd be a cooler shot.

Thank you :)
I'd definitely want to set up a roleplaying multiplayer game. It seems like there are few more interested people. I'd love to get all roleplayers, such as Ozzibeno, in.

It's fun when Mirror maps produce multiple copies of the same unique improvement. It's even neater when they're within the same city radius.

Also, see those two desert hills above the scout? A few turns back, they had goody huts as well. So that's a site with two Remnants of Patria and two Wheat (I think, or was it Corn?) within the same city radius, and four goody huts for the first one to get there.

How is it that a unit can be both heavy and light and both weak and strong at the same time? It seems like these should be made mutually exclusive somehow...
