I'll take a spot!
Sheaim, capital in 19, Bair Lacuna will be on peak of that rise in the center of the island.
The First Turn
The first turn consists ONLY of spending your starting money. Each player begins the game with 500 gold.
1. Sheaim
2.The Capital Bair Lacuna will be in province 19, on peak of that rise in the center of the island.
3. Mysticism, Culture and Society
4. Spend your starting gold either in part or fully. It may be wise to retain some so as to invest in improvements or units that may be uncovered from your initial research efforts
* a new city costs 110 gold (dont forget to build roads to your new city
* you may buy research points directly. Until much later when the appropriate technologies and civics are discovered, this is the only time you will be able to do so. Each research point costs 3 gold. Early technologies cost approximately 25 research points (some more, some less). State what research path you wish the points spent in.
* You may buy population directly by paying for the requisite food. One food costs 1 gold. To grow your capital to size 5 from size four would require 25 gold. To grow a new city from size 1 to size two would cost 4 gold. Got it?
Food Required to Grow City= (current population of city+1)^2
* You may buy priority slots for your cities and outposts. Without investments in crafts and metals technology there is no reason to invest in industry priority slots. Without substantial investments in exploration and trade technology, there is no reason to invest in trade priority slots (I would recommend against this).
* You may buy land clearances, cottages, wooden palisades, or packed earthen roads. Remember to buy agriculture or domestic commerce priority slots for your city if you purchasing land clearances or cottages.
4. Spending:
A new city on 20, at the mouth of that river system., with roads connecting and an extra population there (120g in total? 110 city+4 for pop. 2+5-6 for a short uphill road)
Buy 75g of research, preferably towards Scholarship.
Province 19
35g on 2 Domestic Commerce and 1 Agriculture priority slots
To go with those 25g for two cottages and one farm clearing
Province 20
25g on 2 Agriculture and 1 Commerce slots
20g on two farm clearings and one cottage
So,500-120-35-25-25-20=200 flat. Bank that
