Yes, and thomas has repeatedly gone against my wishes with things like this. Please change it to what I thought we had agreed.

The whole Sabel thing is a big part of the Story I am planning, I would never have agreed to thomas's idea if I knew he would be calling it Sabel and co.

The rest of the update was very good though, glad to see Maros survived.

Hatvid Grada looked up. Again he heard a Trumpeting: Hasn't the last Trumpeteer died with the death of the Fists of Balance[1]? He walked over the hill and gasped.

A giant beast, thrice, no... five times larger than the horse the Bannor Messangers used! He saw them crush right through a farm house and flung a man into the air for nearly 5 Yits[2] in what seems to be an accident. It trumpeted again and another dozen appeared over the hill. Hatvid can only shake his head as they totally rampaged the farm.

He soon learned that every few years that farm is destroyed by a migration of Elephants, which leaves the next year.

He decided that they would be usefull if they are pastured where the farm is to reduce damages and to use this oppertunity to bring the Grigori to the future: after all, that is were he is going to take his people.

[1] The Trumpet is considered a soothing device, higher in tone than Our trumpets.
[2] A Yit is about two men long, or 9 Feet. So 45 Feet. (15 yards, the guy was holding a scyth)

thats a pretty big mistake...

i will change it but next time your orders are your orders.

Yeah, my mistake. forgot to email you to say that sabel was not summoned

I have spoken to Thomas after he e-mail me some information and i will not be changing the update. Sabel's soul did inhabit the 'Shining Patrian Spear' for the duration of 1 day before returning to the vault of Junil.

I realize that there is considerable room for problems of all sorts if i allow people to say, "i meant to say" then change the orders. All updates are based on orders only.

Kol, if you have a problem with this- your problem is with thomas, not the moderator.

EDIT: 1600 posts!

It is due, Caswallen of Amur. We will ask for the return of our loan.

To the Sidar,

I feel that the time is right to officially inform you that our two nations are at war. What persuaded us to go to war with you was not so much the rudeness you conveyed in your messages to us, but that we like your land; so much so we plan to claim all of it. Feel free to swear an oath of fealty to me and I will let you live.

- Dread Emperor Lord Malus

[lurk in] What, ANOTHER potential Amurite Civil War? You don't have much luck with this sort of thing, do you Thomas?

IIRC, the first Amurite civil war didn't have any in-game effects, it was just part of the stories that Thomas was writing.

Great update by the way. :goodjob: Those Sidar citizens sure know how to put up a good fight - they gave our troops a pretty thorough beating.

4 on 1 if you count the Corbus. Oh, I'm not really helping my claim for fairness here. But you know you would have done the same diplo move if you were in my position. ;)

Well ... surrender is always valid option.

no hiding. i bet he's stolen those plans from you for building the giant marshmallow golem. either that or it's the contagious pink fanged killer bunnies of doom. either way i'm sure we'll burn it to the ground before he gets to use it, and then all the Corbus will gather round and light up there pipes. or dump all their weed into the bonfire for a Erebus' greatest victory party ever

I'm sorry but I am not going to stand down about this. Surely the only thing that matters as far as effect is concerned is the amount of gold spent on it.

The whole idea was that the ritual was dipping a toe in the water, you can't just nbring back the spirits of the leaders and heroes of bannor, who are no doubt being held and totured by demons in hells far below the one the ritualists tapped. Also, these spirits wouldn't be seen dead binding to weapons, they are heroes after all.

If I had known thomas was incapable of explaining the idea properley then I would have explained it to you myself, surely my story is testimony to the fact that me and thomas had not been seeing eye to eye? I out him straight but he forgot to change his orders.

I have spoken to thomas and he acknowledges his mistake, now all you have to do is make the change and the problem is solved. There is no understandable gameplay reason why this cannot be done. I can dredge up all our PM's if you feel you need proof of what we discussed.

I'll send you an e-mail Ekolite

To the Nations of 'Als-Sidar,
From the Corbus

With our sailors sick and dying of this plague we realize that profits will be meagre to completely absent should we continue to serve as mercenaries in the affairs of men and dwarves. Any payments we have recieved will only barely cover the cost of replenishing our troops and will certainly do nothing to alleviate the pain widows may feel as they brood upon their nests for mates that will never wing home.

We therefore announce our withdrawal from the world of 'sword for coin' and will assume the role of traders and merchants, a role we hope will be much more profitable.

In line with this view we continue to have an abundance of both silk and cannibas resin and are willing to trade either of these commodities to any nation of 'Als-Sidar at a rate of 2 units of your food for 1 gold worth of silk or resin (to a maximum of 20 food from any single nation).

there are some small changes to the presentation but its fairly minor and should not inconvenience you too much- basically the changes are:
