FFH succession game? Lets do one!

Ive never done a succession game but it seems like it would be really cool to do with FFH.

Ok its started so far. Anyone else wanna join in?

So far we got:

Me
Skilord
Eeekhorn
Chammadai.

How about we do these settings.

Random AI and Random civ pick for human.

Huge- Pangea
Raging barbs
normal speed
aggressive AI
temperate climate
prince difficulty
low sea level

Anyone want to participate???

it should be a water map-so we can admire the new floaty toys in 1.6a
(it takes too long to get ships around pangea)

How about continents or terra or fractal? I really hate archipelago....

(Though i really hate civ4 continents.. i have to admit civ3 did have a better map generator)

I'd be down to try, but as I've said elsewhere I'm not that good so I'd be down for taking advice and that, but if you guys didn't want to have a noob doing it I wouldn't.

I did a couple of SGs in Civ3.

I'd say Terra, Terra could be neat.

I prefer the FfH SmartMap.
(Refer to favor map scripts thread, hovering around page 2)

That could be used to give a cool setup like Terra, but with a better setup then the vanilla generators offer.

I'd like to participate Never played a succesion game, but I'm reasonably good at ffh and prince is a piece of cake to me, so that should be ok

I must say I also prefer the FFH fractal script. For the civ, i'd say random is a good idea.

Switch every ten turns or so? And if someone doesn't take his turn in 24 hours, skip him? Or do you prefer it a bit more chaotic, everyone can take a turn when he wants and hasn't taken a turn any recent time?

I played most of a Prince game last night and while I did get lucky with the barbs I was more than holding my own and I don't think I'd hold anybody back or ruin anybody's fun if I joined you guys so yeah, I'll play.

And the chaotic way of doing it... .... I'd rather set up a roster and have us each play 10-20 turns (idk what works on normal speed I've never played anything other than epic for civ4 but we did 20 for civ3.... all three SGs I played there....(Yeah, I'm a hotshot))

Settings are fine, but will the number of AI be modified or left at default?
And Terra sounds great, I really love the idea of colonization of the New World. Still, I'll have a look at the flavour scripts, as I didn't have a chance to do it yet.

Ok i decided to research exploring first and get fishing since mining wouldnt do me any good until bronze working.

I sent one warrior out exploring and one warrior to defend home.

I found a goody hut and got some gold.. Eh not great but not bad.

Just met the bannor one turn afterwards and a lizardman guarding a barrow! Lizardmen already???

Can Someone please tell me how to upload a picture and display it not in thumbnail?

Im really sorry about the start menu coming up. I dont know how else to take screenshots besides shift+print screen.

Anyway any MP game with this mod is ok so just tell me what are the characteristic of a succession game i assume they are different from a normal game.
And tell me what should i do to enter the game

The Bannor the next turn after meeting them asked for open borders. Not like it would generate income this early in the game, but i accepted for the bonus points and hopefully we would improve relations.

Khazad finished construction of a warrior but because of a lack of food i decided to build another one so it could grow to size 2 before building a worker.

Nothing much happened for the next 10 turns except a crappy goody hut which gave me a map. However... That map revealed another goody huts location.

But that goody hut gave me gold and it was right next to a hill giant! Uh oh...

My dwarven warrior was eaten by the giants. They fought bravely but in the end could not defeat the hill giants urge to eat them.

I really dont know. I guess all you do is play the game for 20 turns then pass it around. In the meantime you report on whats going on and take screenshots.

Succession games are not multiplayer per se. The settings are as for a single player game, but instead of playing a full game you play for a set number of turns (20 in this case) and then let other players play theirs (with the same civ). After others moved you take over the civ again and expand it, then pass it to sb else, and so on. Succession game - one player is succeeded by another.
