FfH2 0.21 Bug Thread

In this game I'm best friends with berril bawl (sp?) - forced him to religious wars against the elves twice. But since a few turns the game somehow thinks that we're at war? I got messages that dwarven carriots died while attack my dragon and the game always reports when dwarven units are next to my cities. But during my turn there are no problems - we can talk, trade ect.

Maybe this started with the message that any enemy (berril of course...) build a version of the altar.

edit: another screeny that confirms the strange relations to the treacherous dwarves :)

Have you built the Council of Esus? and produced units from that city? If so, they are considered Hidden nationality, and the AI will attack those without hesitation. Even if they are stacked with other units from your Civ, the AI troops will fight those units and leave the rest of your stack alone.

Yeah, patch B does not present that bug. patch B

Delete FFH 021 folder, reinstall it and patch it with patch B.
 
I had my Hyboream die once after winning an attack against an opponent's city defender. On the upper left messages, it said my Hyboream was victorious, then the next message said You have Spawned a Hyboream, and my Hyboream was in my capital without his immortal promotion. I suspect (although I have no definite proof) this may have to do with the Fear promotion. I think he won the fight, the remainder of the enemy stack was chased away, but when he tried to move onto the city tile, he was killed.

Also, I have been experiencing many many BSODs while playing Hyboream. I have to turn off the automatic reboot so I can write down the STOP message, but I just wanted to mention this and see if anyone else has been experiencing this.

No. Playing as the three city only nation I'm pretty sure that I haven't built it :) So even when I captured the city it is in I would not be able to build troops there - so this cetanly isn't the cause.

Yes I have. Thats what ive been trying to say. Im going to try and lower my settings as suggested and let you know if that chnaged (as Hyborem there are alot of animated tile) So that might be a problem.
 
ive had a similar problem before.
ive had a immortalized by the blood of the pheonix and hidden nationalityized by council of eseus shadow attack a confessor in a city. it said my shadow won but then it respawned in my capital without the immortal promo
 
Sheut stones are being handed out to Work Boats, giving them a positive Str value. I seem to recall that giving these guys a non-zero strength confuses the AI no end. While I've not seen (or really looked for) any unusual behaviour, I just thought I'd throw this one out there.

I have an Athlon 64 3000+(1.8@2.3Ghz), Radeon X1900GT, 1gb DDR

Also, have you written down what the error message at the BSOD is?
 
No message on the BSOD, I get the Blue Screen of Hell, no message I had to uncheck auto restart. The Diagonstic I ran was not helpful after.

As for the system its an upgraded dell.

2.4ghz, 1gb Ram. I have a Radeon 9600 series (although I ordered x1550 today)
 
Using 21c.

Average wait time of over 10 minutes to initialize the first game. Fairly quick if I restart again (but not closing Civ4).

My settings are typically:

Map: FfH_Fractal
Size: Standard
Climate: Rocky
Era: Ancient
Speed: Quick

Raging Barbars
Aggressive AI
No TT

All victories except Time.

if you're getting a blue screen, the problem is most likely hardware. Did you replace any hardware in the last month?
(hardware issues can hide for awhile, things like a fingerprint on a connection can do this)
 
Here's an interesting update. If I load a saved game first (takes like a minute), then exit to main menu and start a new game, it take the normal time to load (usually less then a minute).

I had two of my Confessors use their fire spell on a Goblin Chariot.

Afterwards, the strength of the Goblin Chariot was shown as 0/0.

Shouldn't the chariot have been killed, or is this another rounding issue?

I got a spider. No silk pen for my cities, carnaval or not :confused:.
BUT it offers the pen in city of the other civ with open borders...
any idea how to fix it without waiting for a patch?:crazyeye:

I guess this is bug.

Another bug - if "recreate map" is used on start - the settler gets only 2 moves and normal sight.

Also, I got a tech from a village on Deity - is it bug?
 
Also, nomad promotion gives 2 turns in desert for units with 1 move and THE SAME 2 turns for units with 2 moves. Also, it does not affects flood plains and oasises (but works for desert/hills).

I guess this is bug.

This aint a bug, mercenaries cant take a city. You must destroy every defender in that city and then wait till a barbarian comes by and take it. Then it will raze it or you will raze it with a normal troop when it is barbarian.

Another bug - if "recreate map" is used on start - the settler gets only 2 moves and normal sight.

A common known problem but not a bug. Do not regenerate the map, just start the game new. There is nothing you can do to have a better settlers if the map is regenerated.

I think they should be able to rize it (but not to occupy). Either have them drop pop by 1 when they enter or auto-rize... Hey, they are mercenaries, they will sack, rape and kill, give a chance :).
Even more - my spyder should be able to feed on these poor souls!
