FfH2 0.21 Bug Thread

I wasnt able to reproduce the 1st (upgrading never removed promotions). And yes, only Immortals regain the immortal promotion automatically. Every other unit that gains immortality can only have it once (or like Losha must do something special to regain it).

You mentioned lighthouse and harbour, but are talking about improvements. You didn't lose any actual buildings, like the lighthouse and harbour, did you?

- Niilo

Yes I am actually losing buildings. I continued my game scouring my empire with marksmen and rangers/hawks looking for shadows, never finding any. At the same time, I sent my shadows out to do some damage and realized that this unit could not be responsible for the losses in my cities:cry: Now I'm back to thinking that there is a bug, and until it gets addressed I just have to periodically rebuild improvements.:(

On my modified version of 0.21, I'm getting crashes-to-desktop whenever a smoking tile bursts into flames. It looks like an SDK issue, but it's never happened with a clean FFH. Regular flames (like those created when Acheron shows up) seem to work fine; it seems the transition from smoke-to-flames is what causes the crash. Could someone explain how the fire system works and what could be the cause of this problem?

I know this is a bit obsolete now that 0.22 is out, but I didn't see it in the changelog so if this bug hasn't been identified before, the problem might be in 0.22 as well. However, I thought this was the appropriate place to put it since I encountered the bug in 0.21.

I dont have the source for 0.21 handy but I believe there is a check in CvMap.cpp that is run every turn that gives a chance smoking tiles will turn into flames.

I could see errors like you are describing happening if:

1. You changed the name of the flames feature.
2. You change the art defnition of the flames feature to point to a nif that doesnt exist.
3. Flames are being pushed onto a tile that they arent allowed on. For example if you had forest on a ocean tile that started smoking it may crash when the game tried to but a flame feature on the ocean.

Do not know if this is still relevant but got this popup playing 0.21f multiplayer. It was when my ally casted charm person sowere.
