Use this thread to report any cosmetic issues in 0.22.

i have white flag issues as well - what has probably happened is that the default extraction path for the fix file is still pointing to the 0.21 folder or maybe even an older one. Copy the civ4artdefines_civilizations.xml file into the assets\xml\art folder, or make sure the existing version there has all the bWhiteFlag values set to 0 (except the barbarian state, they are already 0 for some reason).

two suggestions:

A) A way to disable the FFH video. It's awesome and all but the extra load time is annoying once you've seen it

B) A way to minimise the mana sidebar. It clutters the interface when not in use.

It already is possible to disable it. Select no movies in the graphics options and the game will load without the movie.

i don't have an interface at all- no menu buttons, no mini map, no stats, no was to access any advisors  any idea how to fix this?

I replied to the bug thread for the interface problem (because it's kind of a 'bug') but since you also asked the same questions in this thread I"ll respond here as well:

1 - FFH2 0.22 seems to work as normal when installed to C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Mods\Fall from Heaven 2 022 but there is no interface when installed to C:\Documents and Settings\{USER}\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\MODS\Fall from Heaven 2 022

This is a bit strange as I have everything since 2 011 installed in the user\my documents folder.

2 - You may (or may not) also have to clear your Civ cache. This is located at C:\Documents and Settings\{USER}\Application Data\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\cache. To clear the cache simply go to this folder and delete all of the files in the folder (Application Data may be hidden so you have to make sure you can see all file types (Tools-Folder Options from any folder in Windows)).

This isn't really a bug. The Hall of Fame mod for example can only be run from the \Program Files\Firaxis Games\etc folder. It was a bit of a surprise though since this is the first FFH version I know of that works this way. It would be nice if it worked either way as it will save you from future questions along this line.

Don't install mods into "My Documents" they usually don't work right. every now and then you will get one that does, but it's not something to depend on.. To make the mod work smoothly it has to be saved in

Program_Files>Firaxis_Games>CivIV>Mods

did this fix the white flag issue? if it did, can u explain/give me directions step by step. I don't have much technical skill and am a bit lost in understanding what your saying to do and dont wanna do something wrong

i'd really apreciate the help...i'd like to see the flag design again:D
Just to clarify - my graphics card is quite old and so I have always had the white flag problem in FfH because it can't handle alpha channels. The white flag fix gives you coloured flags instead of white ones; this means you can tell who owns which unit by their flag colour, but it doesn't show the pretty flag design that everyone else (hopefully) sees.
If you were able to see the flags with their proper designs in previous versions, then you probably have a different problem to me. However, this is what I do to get coloured flags instead of white:
- Go to this folder: \Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Mods\Fall from Heaven 2 022\assets\xml\art
- Using notepad or some other text editor, open "civ4artdefines_civilizations.xml"
- In that file, in any line that says "bWhiteFlag = 1" or something similar, change it to "bWhiteFlag = 0", and then save the file.

Playing as Hippus, I've haved several messages saying that an Adept would be a good idea to improve the local area rather than worker. Seems to make no difference to game play though

This may not be a defect, but I find it odd that Mercurians can take advantage of Nightmares for many or all of their mounted units.

AI_DIPLO_REJECT_LEADER_CALABIM has a square in the text.

Would it be possible to have some mouse-over text for the leader traits list when choosing for an adaptive leader?

The white flag fix file has been updated for 0.22.

I corrected the calabim text error you pointed out, thanks. But I don't have any way to add mouseover text to a popup in the current implementation. When I rewrite it for shadow I will see what I can do.
