FfH2 BtS Conversion Beta

repeatably got an OOS flashing error every turn after turn 36 with the following settings in multiplayer:
-2 human players, 3 AIs
-rainforest map, quick
-always war
-advanced start
-unrestricted leaders (humans: einion/doviello, hannah/ljosalfar; AIs: sheelba, jonas, charadon all with clan of embers)
-One City Challenge
-human team versus AI team

it started around the time sheelba built rantine, and continued every turn, logging out fixed it for a turn easily, and we were able to simply ignore the flashing OOS and continue like it wasn't there, but it kept flashing every turn none the less.
 
Patch "v" is linked in the first post. It makes the following changes:

1. Damage Type Vulnerabilities (negative resistances) are used.
2. Resistances don't add 100 points to combat strength.
3. Burnt Forests will now upgrade to new forests correctly.
4. Fixed an error that could cause adepts to keep from getting their free promotion.
5. Fixed a bunch of promotion upgrade issues.

When I started the game I got following python exeption. Later in the game I realized that I was at peace with the barbs (playing as cassiel). Maybe this happened because I was laying Sheelba for a few turns - then quit to main menu and started another game (I normally never have python exeptions when I get started)

Are you sure you both still play the same game? As we got our OOS we could play further simply ignoring the message but our game was splitted in two at this point. Worldevents were incongruent in terms more than simple turnshifts.

p.s.: WT*, I thought this game is turn based AND the flashing OOS error causes eye-cancer, I am sure :crazyeye:

Been playing for an hour without any problems at all.
One question: why cant you stack your build queue?
Make that 3 straight hours
Stack build only happens on one leader that I have found
and I had to choose that one first rofl
the rest of the leaders seem ok
No problems at all

Issues I had with v:
-acolytes autoupgrade to confessors as soon they are available-> can't spread the order since acolytes become unbuildable due to this

-none of my units got any religion promotion

the other bugs I noticed where mentioned above already
 
With patch U

Some images;

005 - In civpedia "marksman" has the "marksman" promotion if you click this it just loops to "marksman". Look it up you'll understand.

006 - Huge health bar on horseman, I think it was calibin, not sure, sorry.

007 - I was able to build improvements on burnt forests without Bronze working, this sounds fair since the forest burnt down, but the improvement does not remove the burnt forest. It also seems to still get the hammer from the trees. Nice bonus :)

Hello,

Just started testing with patch "v". The only bug I've found 98 turns in is that I cannot"rebase" my hawk onto a hunter. I can rebase them to another city, but not the units. I'm playing as Ljosalfar.

Try loading that hawk "into" the hunter when he's in the City. That will work.
This seems to be a BTS Thing, since you can't load Missiles in a Missile Cruiser from afar anymore - you must return the Missile Cruiser to a City with the Missiles (or rebase the missiles to that city) and then load the missiles into the Cruiser. Same thing with Carriers and Fighters.

I am not sure if it'd be good to change that back to how it worked before, since the hawk doesn't know where the hunter is - the Hunter has to fetch his hawk (...parrot, raven). Just my 2 cents...
 
Under Patch 'V' the only odd thing I've noticed so far is that a Bannor scout and a Barbarian warrior were occupying the same square. Is this possible?

Arcane units can attack after casting a spell (or is this intended now?)

Acheron the Red Dragon did not appear in its city (but the lair did).

Barbarian civ produces specialists (from the lair in Acheron's city) and starts a golden age (well, the Barbs might have a right to a golden age, though.)

Free savant was missing after AV tech is obtained

Hyborem starts with no religion (and wrong? civics)

graphical issues:

Hyborem longbowmen shoot red circles instead of arrows

Shields of diseased corpses are partly transparent (hope it's not because of my new graphics card)

interface issues:

Some unique Hyborem units are displayed with standard icons in tech tree (warrior, swordsman, ... )

Foreign advisor: A left-click on leader portraits leads to unrelated civilopedia entries (spells). Especially, in the relations section, a left-click on leader portraits does not display individual diplomatic relations.
 
Patch v:

-Elven units get hidden nationality when they withdraw from combat.
-During the game I also noticed elven rangers with hidden nationality I couldn't attack until I declared war to the elves.

CTD on cityflipping to Khazad. Click end turn and when asked to allow Gon Gatha to join the Khazad click "Do so on next opportunity" to repeat.

No intro movie music but FoL music. I thought that all came together in the media pack. :confused:

Cannot build Farms on rice resource. Unique to elves? I don't play elves very much. :blush:

I researched FoL first but did not receive a DoL. Had to build ToL. Intended? I didn't see anything related in the changelog. :)

Will any of the AoI content make it into the main mod? The White Hand religion would be great. Imagine Hyborem's Hell terrain meeting the frozen wasteland of Mulcarn. The results could be catastrophic. :D
 
Patch V 2.024.

Finally won my first victory as Khazaad(Luonotar Victory), I didnt notice any problems in the game except that two civilizations were willing to be vassalized(might be just my superior strenght)
 
Never mind what I said about the Ljosalfar not being able to farm rice tiles. I had not researched sanitation yet and I could not tell the Ancient Forests from the jungles. :blush: Told you I don't play with elves much. :lol:

When I start a new game, the blue ring that designates an optimal tile for a settler to move in and build a city takes 1 or more turns to appear. Does anyone else experience this?

What will happen if you get to patch "z" and all the bugs and stuff havent been ironed out yet?

Hmmm... As it is not only unthinkable but also strictly forbidden to name patches any other of zilion ways (for example 2 024aa, 2 024ab... or 2 024p1, p2 etc.) we all are facing a dark and gloomy future. Kael, stopped by such a cruel obstacle, will suffer serious nervous breakdown, loose all faith in his work, eat all of his computers and half of CDs and go to Amazonian jungle to hunt aliens.
And we all will weep like willows...
 
I only really noticed one main Patch V Bug, didn't play through till the end though. It is with regards to a problem loading troops onto ships.

I had a unit who I wanted to load on to a ship so just moved the ship to the coast and tried to get my unit to load but it just wouldn't work, and yes I'm sure there was space.

Even when both ship and unit are in a city the option to load just isn't there. Think the units in question were Baron Halfmorn, a Hunter, and 2 Giant Spiders I had captured. Also had a Moiri (Vampire Axeman) in the stack but he could load no problem.
 
Playing Patch 'V' as Van Gosam of the Malakim I found that the Raider trait, when chosen, didn't allow my units to gain over 100 xp.
