The Kingdom of Daggerfall

Settlement: Daggerfall
People: Bretons
Government: Hereditary Monarchy; the King's power is kept in check by a morass of nobles.
Leader: King Thangore
Religion: Worship of the Nine Divines
Society: Breton society is a paradox, both unified and divided at the same time. Socially and politically, the Bretons are extremely divisive. At the top of the social ladder are the noble elites. They hold a bewildering mass of titles, family lines, and hereditary claims that leave outsiders perplexed and prevent the complete consolidation of power by any noble. Below them are the middle class of merchants and the destitute peasentry.

On the other hand, culture is almost uniform among the Bretons, with its members sharing the same speech, architecture, and even clothing. Bretons are highly intelligent, willful, and are known for being very passionate and eccentric (as well as being excellent cooks). They are extremely adept at handling magic (or so they claim), and its practice can be found woven into most aspects of Breton society.

Note: This culture is clearly based on a RL one, but I noticed many others simply copy-pasted from various sources. So...

Settlement: Kagoshima
People: Shimazu
Government: Noble Council, Trial by Combat (A noblemen keeps his "seat" until defeated in combat by a non-councilman. This council functions like an Athenian Demoracy)
Leader: Takahisa I
Language: Kuitain

Religion: A combination of polytheistic rituals with a monotheistic base. The main god, Asi, is awful and mighty creator god whom they must appease. Numerous other gods are his attendants, and supposedly hold minor powers over their realms, though none can rival Asi. It is also said that Asi and his comrades find great pride in watching men prove themselves honorable on the field of battle.

Society: War. War is all. Not because men like war, not even because Asi demands it, but because one cannot pursue achievements of greater merit without war plaguing them. Soldiers are of primary importance, with merchants and craftsmen tied for second relatively far beneath them. Scientists, philosophers, and artists are the third tier. Farmers make up the fourth tier, and slaves the fifth. Slavery is forbidden except if you capture a prisoner in war, thus the fifth tier of this society is very small.

Questions how do mark a claim on the map?

@Everblack

I for one just saved the map as a picture on my computer. I then used the paint program to mark my position. I would save the changed picture, then re-upload it with my submission.

He's lying, you need to be an archmage. Magic is the only solution.

Mech, you get 1-10% population growth a turn, which is terrible. Move to the coast dammit. You can't serve Cthulhu if you starve before you can kill anyone in his glorious tentacly name.

Fine, move me four hexes directly south, the one on the coast and touching two mountain hexes.

Settlement: Kagoshima

The only times I ever see Kagoshima pop up is in my IOTs. I feel special.

Game Starts Wednesday. Connect your trade centers to something in the mean time.

Offer to create a trade network through the moutains with Nokal.

For the record, you can connect your trade center to whatever trade center you want whether or not they want to (though, if they place an embargo on you, that greatly reduces the value of the trade route, but it still produces money on both ends).

So, Trade Center A can connect to B, and B can connect to C, if it wants.

I'm joining soon, still to decide where to settle.

The Principality of Pecqun

Settlement: Ionnika
People: Pecqun
Language: Pecqunian
Government: Principality
First Leader: Iler Laceto

History:
The Pecqun people have lived and grown for generations in the forested hills and mountains near the sea. A land rich in natural resources but a bit arid, the struggle among rival tribes lasted for long and stimulated the creation of their first cities and fortifications.

At last the tribes united under the command of Iler Laceto, leader of Ionnika, the most prominent settlement, located by the sea and thus with access to fish sources that allowed for its people to be in a general better condition and number and thus superiority against rival settlements.

Once the Pecqun were united, Iler Laceto declared himself Prince of Pecqun, although for now they are still a mere tribe looking for new borders...
