Filling the Armies

We still have 7 empty armies sitting in Gruner Hugel, and still others spread out accross the nation. Are we just gonna let them sit empty?

With the recent dawn of the panzer, we need to start planning how many of these armies we want to have filled with them, if any.

I'd suggest two or three infantry armies for protecting our artillery stacks. The others should be totally Panzerized to maximize the awesome force they bring to the table.

Putting tanks into an army is stupid as you lose its ability to attack twice. I would put infantry in.

I have posted a similar proposal to Octavian's in the Term 8 Military Thread. 2 armies of infantry, two of cavalry, filling out the rest of the armies with 50% of our panzer production. That should allow us to keep up momentum in our current military effort.

Just to confirm a suspicion of mine, I looked up "panzer" in the dictionary. It is not a proper noun and one doesn't have to capitalize it unless it just saved your empire from an invasion of Turkish sipahis* or similar.

*A medieval light cavalryman, armed with bow and scimitar, claimed by PTW to have the means to take out a Tiger Tank 50% of the time in a full frontal assault.

For the record, I try to capitalize Civ3 unit names, city improvements etc whenever possible. I believe this makes it easier to sift though my sometimes long-winded rants. So, if you happen to see Panzer capitalized in one of my posts(like here for instance), it is in deference to Civ3, not the unit itself.

I don't understand why make the 2 Cav Armies... they'll become obsolete quickly, keep the Cavs out of the armies.
