Fix-It List

BtS requires some files from Warlords - when you install BtS without Warlords present it simply installs a mock Warlords install with just the files it needs. When you install Warlords over that nothing happens since the install will just add more files to run Warlords - however the uninstaller doesn't know that and will remove the whole thing - killing BtS in the meantime :crazyeye:
It could have been solved better, I agree ;)
 
I'm having a weird problem with my ATI graphics card, it runs all other games right, but when I play Civ, after some turns the flags disappear, everything on the map gets overput(like a bad buffer problem), and them comes a BSOD saying PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, always pointing the graphics drivers as source of the problem.

And my drivers are up-to-date.
 
yeah all drivers are updated (and windows is as well) - as I posted above microsoft blames mostly hardware errors for this particular problem - so I fear the next thing would be to think that the graphics card has some kind of defect :sad:
 
crc error: the file c:/program files/2kgames/firaxis games/sid merer's civ 4 complete/assets/art/movies/wonders/great lighthouse.bik doesn't match file in the setups.cab file the medium from which you are running the set up may be corrupted contact your software vendor..........................what do i do?
 
My BTS crashes to desktop without error message every 10-20 minutes. What could be wrong?

Running Windows 7 with latest drivers for graphic card.
 
Hi. I have a new computer with windows 7 home premium installed.
Here is an interesting error message. When I click on CIV4 icon the message comes up "access denied Please login with administrator privileges and try again " This is very strange because I am the only user on this computer, and have an administrator account.
I have been soo looking forward to trying Civ4. Any ideas?

Is the game set to run as administrator? This is seperate from running it from an administrator account.
 
I'm having problems uninstalling CIV4.
It wont let me uninstall the program. Setup will not run.

At first I got an error involving ikernel.dll. Once I fixed that problem this error is now showing up. I'm confused as to what this error means.

I need help. When I go to start my Civ IV game from the CD I get the following error

Cannot locate the CD-ROM

Now I am using a Netbook and have a External DVD drive via USB. I've had no issues using this other than using Civ IV? Any ideas?
 
Having graphic issues with Civ4 and BTS.

Game runs fine but has black patches in the terrain. It also seems that the skin of leaders doesn't display correctly. Both flash on and off.

If it helps I am running this on a Macbook Pro booted into Xp via Bootcamp. I downloaded civ off steam. The game is completely patched.

My computer has liek 2.2 ghz dual core 4 gb ram plenty of HD space. 256 mb Nvida video card. Any thoughts? Its really frustrating to play a good game with poor graphics.
 
When I zoom out all the way in Civ IV [civ4] I get a portrait of one of the players with a red background. Screenshots enclosed.
 
I am looking for the proper ports for civ4 game. So I can add it to my router without it I can not play with friends online. Can someone help me?
