Anyone know what to do about a flickering mouse cursor in Civ 5? I had the problem in another game, and updated my video card drivers (2x ATI Radeon HD 4850's in CrossFire), then had found a solution which involved disabling the "hardware cursor". The problem didn't start in Civ 5 until I upgraded my drivers, and now I can't seem to find a way to get it to stop here. I tried switching resolution, then switching back (I think I saw this trick under the Civ 4 forums), but it didn't stop the flickering. Any ideas? Thanks.

I was having this problem everytime I started the game but the patch actually fixed this. Oh my god, the patch actually fixed something!
Before the patch I would just push my windows button on keyboard or alt and delete to exit the game and the game would minimize to my system tray on desktop. Then I would click on it to open it back up and the flickering pointer would be fixed.

And if a tab out or anything, it's still misbehaving when I tab back in. I've also noticed two other effects... when I zoom the camera in closer, the frequency of the flicker increases, and I see certain patches of ocean tiles flickering the same way. I tried turning down most of my graphics settings, but the flicker is still there.
Came across a post somewhere (Steam forums?) that suggested Civ 5 is broken with CrossFire, and to disable it. Whether that's true, or not, I disabled CrossFire, and not only did the mouse stop flickering, but the graphics performance improved greatly. The other games I play work with CrossFire, so I'll rule out a bad setup of my video cards.

Try any or all of the following:
1. Update video drivers.
2. Try the workarounds mentioned in post #2 of this thread.
3. Switch from Fullscreen to Windowed mode (Main Menu --> Options --> Video Options), or vice versa.
4. Experiment with different Bind Mouse settings (Main Menu --> Options --> Interface Options).
