Sochaux 0-3 AS Beauvais Oise

Looks like ASBO could be in for another cup run after winning away against Sochaux. Just shame we can't put in these performances in the league...

The newspaper article, an interview with Willem is on the last page...

In Game 3 the champs league final has just been played; Barcelona only the second team to beat me in the league won comfortably 3-0, dominant in all the stats with opponents Dunfermline managing just one shot on target. Easily establishing the Spanish La Liga as the dominant league in G3. Also very close title race, out of three teams but others are close behind.

Dunfermline? I guess its not that strange as they probably started in the premiership and all the top teams should have been balanced to begin with...

I forgot to pick a team for the game last Saturday and instead of simply keeping the same team, it selected possibly the worst team. I lost 2-0.

I was annoyed to realise that last night my team played a cup game...I have no interest in the cups. I'm only interested in climbing up the league. I won 1-0 though.

It seems in the cup, the worst team tends to win. Actually I am beginning to think that in the calculations for the result of cup games your past form in the league is ignored so any team can win.

Did you sell a player? As that may be the reason why the same line up was selected since the previous line up would be invalid.

No, I didn't sell a player. I assumed it uses some sort of auto-selection if you don't confirm it yourself...like the assistant manager picking a team on CM. I've already confirmed my selection for the weekend game anyway. :)

Any idea how long it'll take to get any kind of buying power? To be able to contemplate getting out of the second division? A recent sale has put my balance up to £850,000 but I can't really improve my team with that (apart from loans).

Sponsorship deals give you a bulk boost of cash, home games should also increase your cash. Try to get some loan players while you wait. The other tactic is to swap players for a player plus cash so that you improve your squad slightly each time but this is difficult as they probably want to do the same.

To be honest I think it is perfectly in the right not to select your first team if you dont select your team. This gives managers more incentive to log in moreoften and I just get annoyed by people who dont login much because you can have a bid in for weeks without an answer, which can hold up any potential transfers.

Of course it has the right to do so...I can understand why it may do that, and I thought so at the time. Understandably though, it was still quite infuriating. If people don't login, then just kick them off.

Edit: Just logged in and noticed some news about that match (the whole dodgy team selection event)...

"No formal team was selected for the previous match. The coach stepped in and kept the same lineup as before but the board was not pleased with this disarray!"

:hmm:

Creteil 1 - 1 ASBO

I draw again. Not sure whether to change my tactics slightly or hope for a win in my next game as I did score first this time.

Ideally I want a midfielder or a striker for a rating of around 55 although I could use a defender as well.

My new tactics seem to have lost their effectiveness... A goalless draw. My chances at promotion are pretty much down the drain, unfortunately.

tonight? today's tuesday...

Merida 0 - 1 Extremadura

I win...yet again...

:D

I'm really looking to strengthen my squad now. I only have around £800,000 so it won't be easy and it may be a while before I can get in the types of players I want. I'd like to be able to try and maintain my rise up the league though...I've gone from the bottom three to within seven points of promotion but I don't think I'll maintain this rate of progress with my current squad. I don't know though.

I won 2-0 in the league cuo aganist the second in the league :D...this sat I have a league match aganist the same team..
