Gary Jnr was very unlucky not to win, he loses votes because he is playing with very good players.

And a comment on the Gals: some great looking gals with crappy fake tans. Some of them are obviously prepared to go to any lengths to get media exposure even if it means being seen on the arm of some brain dead bozo.

Selwood and Corey kept stealing votes off Ablett and Bartel.

I think it's got to the point where the Brownlow is more important to the women than 95% of the guys, with the 5% that think it's important being those with realistic chances of winning.

Cooney is a good player. But not the best of this year. He joins Woewodin, Liberatore and Hardie as ...interesting...umpire selections.

Seems all Black has to do to get votes is run through the banner.

Gary realistically lost his chance at winning through injury. He missed 4 games, effectively 5 with the Dockers game when he did it, and that cut a chunk off his chances; it also took a game when coming back to get back into touch.

Congratulations to Hawthorn, they deserved their win with some efficient and tenacious football. I would have preferred to see Geelong win, I have a dislike for scumbags like Jeff Kennett and because Geelong were the best team until the Grand Final.

Geelong had their chances with many more inside 50s and shots on goal but their conversion was terrible. Luke Hodge was a deserving Norm Smith medallist.

Time to put away the pigskin and bring out the willow.
