At least in Warlords, if no Mod there, we can keep play an old game, even with

some players patched and others not: just need a non-patched player opens a

non-patched save and delete the adm.password.

I believe you can also do that in the orginal, fed. So hopefully, if someone would be kind, we might be able to look at the save.

The problem is that we have locked modified assets, so we can't delete the admin password (we did that to prevetn cheating IIRC).

Well, I tried, as I have not yet the patch, without success.

I clicked the upper right flag, enter in "Game Details" and the password field
popped up. But I know not the password and couldn't go further.

Now I ask,please: is it possible to repeat what I did, input the password,
go to that assets, unlock them, then return and delete the password?

If worth trying and all the experts have already the patch, I can do it, under
step by step guidance ( that is, here two windows opened, game in one,
and messenger/ hotmail in the other, so that you can tell me what must be
done).

Then, if all good, I'll email you the "new" save, for you to check it.

No-one knows the password, it's a randomly generated password

Fed, and anyone else who have got the new patch but not the old. (like me)

Uninstall every civ program, then reinstall Civ 4, then download patch 1.61, which is in the download section on the homepage. Copy this and rename (mine is called (Demogame Civ 4) and then install warlords and/or BTS and it should work!
