Okay, the main forum has 13 stickied threads, which makes it near impossible to see what's there, unless your actually looking for it.

I propose we move some of them out, and try to leave the main forum open more for announcements from the MTDG, ISDG, and the Demogame. Afterall, we are no longer have the main forum all to ourselves, it technically belongs to those who play the MTDG and ISDG also.

So I propose the following:
Bold = delete/unsticky
Red = Move to Citizens Forun
Blue = Move to Government Forum

Civ4 Demogame Constitution & Code of Laws
ATTENTION! Civ4 Demo Game User Group Created
Judicial Log
Absence Registry
Screenshots Thread

We might as well put the Constitution/Judicial Log inside of the Government forum, after all they are our government. It'll get them out of the way, and I doubt anyone will have anymore trouble finding them then they are now.

As for the absence Registry and Screenshots thread, it just makes more sense to me inside of the Citizens forum.

I don't think the current arrangement is a problem, but that's just me. I won't stand in the way of changing it, but I will not hesitate to point out, again, the futility of doing so.

Except for election time, the only active threads in the main forum are the sticky ones. There is no chance of anything being "lost" because there is nothing else to see.

Open question to all: name a thread in the main forum that you can't find.

The problem is not finding it when your actively looking for it, but seeing it when your just grazing through stuff.

If you remember, you didn't know that the Help Guide was there. Another example is Whomp not knowing about the screenshots thread.

Unless you already know that the thread is there, you won't notice it.

well i disagree we need to delete the group user thing as new members need to know that immediatly i also see no reason to mess around with it to be honest, the main forum really has no use except for election time and them threads anyways.

The usergroup message is also inside of the first post of the Citizen Registry.

I have to say that the whole process right now is a little bit confusing. Half the time, I can't find anything I'm looking for on any forum, let alone just the main forum.

I think that's more of your problem then the forum organization. :p

Okay! Okay, I was joking! Just don't kill me!

Anyway, do I have the go ahead? We might as well see how they work out in my proposed spots. If it doesn't work out, they can always be switched back. It's not like CT has anything else to do :p.

Don't kill me *hides*.

What if we had one thread as a "Hub thread" with links to all of the other important threads?

That would be the Information Department, once I start getting all of that set up.

That's exactly the right idea. Some sort of "status screen," done by a volunteer.
