What should we do if their is a forum outage on the day of a T/C? Or a forum outage at all? Do we back the T/C up a day or what?

I would suggest leaving the T/C time alone if it wasn't on the same day as the T/C or if it was only an hour or two, but if it is a very large forum outage (like the one today) on a T/C day I belive the T/C should be called off.

I think it is too late now to call off the TC. If the forum had been out from like 12noon Fri to 12 noon today, then maybe. Since it was back up about an hour before then TC we don't have time to call it off. On a personal note, it would bad for me if we rescheduled it because this is one of the only times in the week I can make it.

If the Forums recover before the time of the Turn Chats, then we leve it be. If the Forums recover after the time of the TC, then we bump it up a day :).

I'm not talking about this T/C....

i disagree. I think if the forum is out for a good period of the day, we cancel the turn chat and push it back a day. This way all instructions can be given.

I think a general rule that the President can bump the chat back a day on his discretion would be a good idea. A chat would only be able to be bumped once. If the rescheduled date had problems that required another bump it would need to be cancelled. Chat time, etc, would remain the same it would just be the next calendar day.

That's what I would do. I think there was only 1 major forum outage when I was president, and the turn chat was sort of delayed an hour or two. :) We eventually had enough participation of council members.
