My turns Part I:
Turn 190 (1300 AD)
Okay, where the hell are we? Oh yeah, Russia. Hot broad. Got it.
It's turn 190 and--I think--Danski rolled our objective at the end of 189. He had one complete turn, so I think we have 29 more to go.
Let's get to it. We need to capture a city with a wonder or shrine. Can do.
Looking at the domestic advisor, all of our cities are well in the happy range. Except Antium, which has 5 more turns of resistence.
Looks like Danski has set us up on infrastructure builds. Fine with me.
We're also at war with everyone we know. Think maybe we aught to build a ship or two?
Colossus due in 3.
St. Pete (Petrigrad?) has some gems it's not working, but it can't afford the food to do so.
It'll grow in 9, then be able to work the gems. It'll then be stagnant.
Novgorod is stagnant while working a 1f1p tile. Civil service in 5 should help that.
Rostov is also stagnant at 6.
Bangalore could use a farm now.
Madras has one tile with 6 gold and another with 7. It's working neither for lack of food.
Delhi's got a lot of hammers it's not working. It could use a farm or two, too.
All in all, we've got a big damn empire.
Civil Service is done in 5
Civics are Representation, Barbarism, Caste System, Decentralization, and Organized Religion. I agree with all of them.
Bad news, guys. Checking the wonders screen, it looks like we own every wonder on our continent. Ships!
How is it we only have 2 coastal cities? We're financial!
The first choice is easy. Yaroslavl is building an aqueduct but isn't unhealthy.
Yaroslavl' begins: Galley
Switched to galley, due in 10.
I can't take Moscow off of the colussus with only 3 turns left, but I'll build a ship when it's done.
I'll end my inherited turn now.
Ptolemy (Great Scientist) born in Moscow
Worker loses to: Indian Horse Archer (6.00/6)
Turn 191 (1310 AD)
What's this?
Imhotep born in Rome? Wonder in Rome soon? Sometimes, RNGod really lets us know that he's still got our back.
We lost a worker outside of Antium to a horse archer I couldn't see last turn. He must die for his offense to RNGod!
Whoops, that was an indian horse archer. Damn purples run together too easily.
Spearman promoted: Combat II
Spearman defeats (1.76/4): Indian Horse Archer
I note that we don't get our worker back. Bastard!
Our new great scientist can discover Philosophy.
Taoism has already been founded, so that's not worth beans.
Moscow has an academy. Yaroslavl is our next best science city, so Ptolomy will go there.
Axeman defeats (4.00/5): Barbarian Warrior
A look at Rome shows 3 longbows, a cat, a spearman, and Imhotep.
JC got screwed in the start location roll. RNGod be praised.
Damn, IPA's one BMF.
End of turn 1
Rostov finishes: Granary
Swordsman loses to: Indian Horse Archer (4.86/6)
Swordsman defeats (1.26/6): Indian Horse Archer
Turn 192 (1320 AD)
Rostov begins: Forge
IBT, an Indian horse archer ambushed a swordsman I had scouting around India. Another Indian HA died attacking Antium.
Hee hee hee.
JC makes hanging gardens. Thank you , Imhotep.
Yaroslavl' finishes: Academy
Academy built in Yaroslavl
One thing about Rome, it can only be attacked from one side. And JC has a cat.
We're going to need a lot of chain farming here in a few turns. Try to remember that before building cottages, guys.
Delhi finishes: Courthouse
Moscow finishes: The Colossus
Turn 193 (1330 AD)
Moscow begins: Galley
Delhi begins: Forbidden Palace
Novgorod begins: Heroic Epic
Okay. Colossus is in. Yay us! Novgorod can't build the gardens any more so I begin on heroic epic. It's our biggest production city. Also, Delhi begins Forbidden Palace. The location is great and it is, after all, our second capital.
Because the gardens were turned into 217 gold. I deficit spend up to 80% science.
The odds in Lahore are ugly, but I think a sword, two cats, and two axes should take it.
First cat only reduces defense by 3%? WTH?
JC's added an elephant to Rome.
That garrison 2 longbow has got to go.
I used a turn to take the defenses down from 60 to 42 with two cats. 9% each. Why only 3 in Lahore?
Endo of turn 3
Tech learned: Civil Service
Moscow finishes: Galley
Bangalore grows: 5
Calcutta finishes: Barracks
Delhi's borders expand
Swordsman loses to: Indian Horse Archer (4.80/6)
Swordsman defeats (3.84/6): Roman War Elephant
Turn 194 (1340 AD)
Research begun: Compass
Moscow begins: Galley
Calcutta begins: Horse Archer
Calcutta's a dump of a city. I could build a library, but that'd only gain about 1 beaker. I could build a market, but that'd gain 1 gold. A forge will gain 1 hammer. Phffbtt! Horse archer.
When civil service came in, I chose compass. We're going to need to travel over oceans if RNGod gives us another stinkin' "Capture three cities from three civs".
Asoka is slowly taking out our Antium defenses.
Again, my cats are only 3% on Lahore. 2 cats brought defenses down to 11%.
Rome's defenses are now down to 24%
St. Petersburg finishes: Market
Horse Archer defeats (2.40/6): Indian Horse Archer
Turn 195 (1350 AD)
St. Petersburg begins: Maceman
Antium begins: Library
Arabian civ has been destroyed????
Antium comes out of resistence and look what we get. One f-ing tile? Rome's gotta die. F-it! They both gotta die!
Asoka is menacing the north with a pillage-hungry horse. I'm not sure I have troops to spare.
