Just open up a Fox game and I'm sure people will line up to join. You can even leave a slot open for the "real" Fox to join once he's back since it will most likely last longer than 3 weeks

Anyway, I must admit feeling the itch myself ... doubt I can refrain from joining an SG from now til end August

Let's discuss the settings first.

I am thinking of either (A) an OCC-AW Immortal with largely the same setting (i.e. isolated until Astronomy) or (B) an AW Emperor/Immortal in an archipelago/fractal map teaming up with an AI, not sure if we want OCC to make it "easier" though.

I will be leaving France in 3 hrs for Ireland ... so keep discussing. I will start the game tonight once I am settled in.

rolo also said he missed the OCC-AW and would like to do it on immortal, isolated.

We had a little discussion. Also we came up with De Gaulle as a possible leader.

I, too, would like to play OCC-AW. I folllowed the monarch and emperor games and they were highly enjoyable.

another AW-OCC game ! Count me in Captain sir ! I'd rather like to play your suggestion (B) as we have played version A three times now I guess. How about that: Fox-40 - Tales from the Broken Minds Asylum, featuring Shaka (us) and Monty (AI partner) ...

I have never personally really tried at OCC nor have I played with an AI partner before, so that makes me a noob if that's what you're aiming for. Having said that, I'm game if you still want me on the roster after knowing that

Like mr Mysty said, I'm avaliable for the game. I like the Monty & Shaka idea , but a pure Immortal OCC-AW would be good as well.

I tested a game on pairing up with an AI on Immortal-AW ... and let me just say it ended abruptly ... 5 Immortals against a 0.8 Immortal (when you paired up, research is reduced to 70-80%, IIRC), is a swift kill.

We will stick to OCC-AW Immortal (that is hard enough, me think). Do we want specially crafted inland-ocean island (i.e. land surrounding an ocean, with us being on an island in that ocean so that no AI can reach us before Astronomy), or the plain old archipelago?

The inland ocean would be be more favourable to the AI as they don't handle archipelago very well. It is Immortal after all...

Other maps would be fine too, I'd prefer inland_sea.
