I have used zone alarm and kerio before. not bad, but I just run free-ware antivirus software and I have never encountered any problems.

Firewalls just slow down computers.

Are you (or Jawz) sitting behind a hardware firewall? If so, you don't really need a software firewall, but if you're relying on antivirus software to defeat hacking attempts from the general internet, then you're just not aware of the problems you may be having.

Sygate was purchased by Symantec and Kerio was purchased by <some company whose name escapes me at the moment>. They no longer offer free version, if I remember correctly. I do happen to have the free ones they were offering in December, so if you want them emailed out to you, just drop me a PM.

thanks alot chief, but ive already installed the ZoneAlarm one, and even downloaded an update for it, so im gonna go with that one.
