Hi everyone,

I am looking for a good XML editing program so that I can change some things in my game and experiement around. I don't know XML but I can Cut and Paste.

P.S Before you warn me, I am always careful to backup my originals! Also, I know if worse comes to worst I can always re-instal the game.

I had never heard of XML before Civ4 and grabbed XML Marker at someone's suggestion. I do the same for you. Just google it and you'll find it.

Altova XML Spy Home Edition.

It's free.

Thanks. I just downloaded and edited a file. Cut and paste works just fine in it.

Thank you also, I will try this one too.

PSPad editor. great, allows you to do side by side text diff, will open just about any text based file and then some.

Great if you need to merge or adjust some files.

Cheers!

Real men use notepad. I even use Notepad for python, and sometimes for reading c++.
In that case real men are silly.

If you want a good general text editor for XML/Python/C++ I'd suggest Notepad++.

Yep; doesn't make sense to re-invent the wheel.
