A little late but hell.
IMO it's a good thing they stopped the series. They should have stopped 3 years ago. (sooner would have been even better)

Then I wonder: why dost thou posteth here?

To answer your query: I like the tv show up until season 7. I mean the storyline was a joke (no pun intended) but it was fun to watch.
Then it went a little topsiturvy. It made no more sense (than it already did) to me.

I think it's good, the concept of Jennifer Aniston making another 100 million for dancing around in a skimpy halter-top while kids in third world countries go through mounds of garbage for scrap metal or sell thier bodies for sex to earn three cents a day is just too disgusting for me to tolerate.

It was an farily good show, but it was getting kind of old and redundant. They needed to end it and they did.

Now the question is how well the spinoff will do.

Hmmmm, but if JA didnt take the million, some other artist will and children in third world countries will still go thru hunger, no matter wat. :(

Very sad.

I dont watch "Friends" btw.

Well, its the end of an era, and I am not afraid to admit I shed a few tears during the last episode, but now I think everything will be OK. I have tape recorded every season and bought a few books about the show and I have every piece of Friends memorabilia there is so I just might make it without new episodes, plus it is shown in syndication(sp?) about 8 times a day.

Just kidding! I hated it and am glad to see it gone!

It wasn't bad by any means, but my life isn't drastically affected by its end. My opinion can be summed up in one word (if it weren't for that 10 character limit): Eh.

As with any long running show, it is expected that the creative juices will eventually start to run dry over time. Ok, so the show wasn't as good anymore. So maybe they should've quit when they were still ahead, like Seinfeld. But a lot of people honestly liked that show. At the time Friends came out, the concept was totally new. Now here was a bunch of cute people that weren't perfect! Unlike other shows of that period, their lives don't revolve around teenage angst. In the show, they're not rich. They struggle to survive. Despite their looks, the guys aren't babe magnets and the girls aren't fending off suitors left and right. In fact, they're sometimes losers. They often make mistakes. They're actually normal people that anyone can identify with. The comedy is OK, with a balance of verbal gags and slapstick. And there's always a story running subtly behind the jokes, making the individual episodes watchable independently but you still don't want to miss too many episodes else you'll get lost.

And yeah I'll admit that last episode was quite touching.

I agree with Dann. In its day it was new and a refreshing light comedy show. Something to turn your brain off to. I quite liked it, but never went out of my way to see it.

My friend loves friends.
HE obcesses it!
He went crazy after they shut it down...
But I don't care. I didn't watch it...

It's good to know when to stop. Nothing is more pathetic that neverending shows that started great and ended crap.
That they stopped while they were still funny, is good.

I care not for shows designed to keep the sheeple occupied...

Yeah. It is healthy to turn our brains off once in a while.... :D

Taking everything too seriously makes you grow old faster.

Yep - And makes you all an easy bunch of androids to control!

If only it were true that Friends had 'stopped'. Unfortunately its going to be around in reruns for a long, long time.

And they never done an episode with Jennifer Aniston mud-wrestling!

Another reason to hate Friends!

The overabundance of shows like Friends and the "reality" genre is why I hardly ever watch TV.
