Do any of you knows if their is a limit of turns for civilizations to be gracious/polite upon others?

In my current game i am germany againts, incas, sumeria, america, persia (with one city =/), greece and japan, i played with all the slots full but now the rest is dead. So i tried to be best friend with egyp since the begining, and i have been sending gifts to cleopatra and been in mutual protection pact almost all the turns, and defending her from all her wars, giving her tecnology and gold, and defending her boundarys. Thanks to me she is still alive and powerfull. So all the time she was gracious towards me, but sudenly she turned to be cautious !!!!!!?????, and i have been sooooo carefull to maintain good relationship with her, sending gifts everytime i talk to her, defending her, suporting her, giving her tecnology. This hapened once the incas and america allied to destroy her, so i asked her for a mutual protection pact to protect her, and she asked me for almost all my luxuries/resources and two tecs, she was cautious towards me.

It can happen for several reasons.

1 - You broke some trade deal.
2 - Your alliance against a civ ended (i.e., you had a MA against Greece with Egypt, and you just defeated them).
3 - Egypt is about to sneak attack you.
