It is allowable to play with more than one leader from a civ. One could Play as Churchill and face Victoria and/or Elizabeth (which I always thought was strange).

Plus, it is my understanding that not all that reside on the British Isles are homogenously of the same peoples. Perhaps the cover art just represents some past history when things were more unsettled.

Question then...if I have two AI's play America, would they both start out making Washington as their first city?

actually, i have tried it, i played as roosevelt, them as washington. but the player is first on the 'list' when u make the game, so your turn comes first, then AI. becuase washington allready exists, their capital becomes the next city on the list that AI has names for. which is New York. you can also play as the same Leader. two saladins and such

Ive played a game against a bunch of monti's. Boy was that a headache. Yes red monti Ill help you with blue monti. No yellow monti you cant have my gold. Over and over and over again every freaken turn.

Play against multiple AI Isabella's...brilliant.

She might actually end up with something other than buddhism! Of course watching the six of them scrap over who got to Meditation first might be fun too.

I may have to break my unofficial rule of not doubling up on rulers just for the humor effect. I've never tried it because I thought it would be confusing, but apparently the multiple leaders get different colors (if I interpreted bitplayer's post correctly).

Not for a serious game, though...that would be confusing as hell.

Wouldn't that get confusing with the culture? Or do they have different colours if you choose the same country?

i was blue, (being the first on the player list) and roosevelt was a peechy color. very intouch with his feminine and 'hard to notice cultural boarders' side
