Sometimes when I play there is nothing stopping me,,,but when i have been trying to increase my capabilities in the civ world I just get totally crushed like the game that I am about to lose right now, The Mongols are doing to me, what i would be doing to the rest of the world and that is bombing the hell out of me... Now I know that some of you civ players are gifted and can make a living at home and play civ when ever you want to but I am home mainly on the weekend and as an exception this past week and a half I have been home. Trust me I have been beaten by most of the civilizations' out there, and let me tell you what you already know when the computer does it, it takes it's sweet time. The reason for this post is mainly to complain........., But if someone can give the part-time player some tips I would really love, and I mean love it

Do you have any specific areas you want to try to figure out? That will help people when giving ideas.

What difficulty level are you playing at?

Are you ahead in the game early then fall behind?

Do you stay ahead in the middle, but fall behind in the end?

Do you just not have enough cities or units to hold your own against the AI?

Also if you wanted to attach a saved game many of us would be happy to look at it and give our ideas.

never thought of uploading a game for someone to look at but my problem is from king level up, and to let you know I play on t.o.t. I start of good but either I will be doing good by the 1500's and then kick ass by modern time or I'm in trouble by the early a.d.'s and it is a strugle to stay alive and cannot even take a single town let alone defend my self......

P.S. don't have any saved games to show at this time..

Get ahead in technology asap and keep up your defense in the early games once you have pikeman and legion attack. Ignore horseman as they suck and if you can get the gunpowder advance before everyone else. Ignore all treaty's and start to obliterate people before they catch up. Knights in early game defense are good too and also they are great at attacking.
