I have a rough one going right now with Ramses. I got off to a bang of a start, but I didnt want to let Willem have ALL the land to the NE, it was rich, but all jungle, and his CRE/FIN combo would have ripped me to shreds quickly.
I know I made some mistakes. I managed to confine Bismark to a tiny peninsula, and will go take that soon, but right now I need to get back into a war to keep my economy going. Maybe you (or someone) could take a look at this and give me some advice. I managed to get some important wonders (SH, SP, Mids, working on AP and Parth now), and I also managed to capture Willems capitol when Attila the Hun event smoked him (thats when I moved in). Bismark actually took Amsterdam himself, after Willem did all the hard work killing the Huns. So I planted a pile of War Chariots right next to him, took Amsterdam (Buddhism Holy City), DoWed on Willem, took his other Holy City (Confu), and razed a couple others. I have him down now, but not enough beef left for the knockout just yet. My plan is to eliminate Will completely, and then go down and drive Bis totally off my continent. At that point, I SHOULD be able to put a nice pile of Commerce Cities together, and a few solid Production ones, and settle in for a nice 15-20 city Space win, or, if the other continent is close, maybe go romp over there (I dont even know who else is in this game)
Maybe you (or anyone, for that matter) can take a look. Its not great, I should have expanded much more to the NE, not worried about keeping Bis down early, since he didnt have Iron or Copper. I didnt know that though, and once I saw settlers passing by my "blocker" city, before I could get another border pop to completely close him out, I felt I had to act.
Anyway, heres the save. Its VERY interesting, thats for sure. Pop your original 4000 BC save up, maybe I will have a go and see if I can manage as well as you. I really have a lot to learn about this game, especially BTS. I still feel like I am groping in the dark sometimes, direction and a more definitive plan are so important.
