A Recent funny situation in my game... unfortunately, I did not catch a screenshot. Saladin is defending his city against 2 crossbovmen vith combat 1/shock promotions. Vhat does Saladin build to defend it? A Svodsman. Salading is protective, and he had barracks+theology, so he could've build a city garrison III archer vith less vork. But more than that! Vhat does he promote him to? Voodsman 1/2. This is in the middle of an ice cap. The nearest forest is maybe 12 tiles avay. Needless to say, I took the city.

Sorry about my letter 'double-u', it does not vork. But I like the effect of replacing it vith a 'v' all the time.

Vell, he vas a bit of a dingbat in that game... he vas dovn to 7 cities out of nearly 20 before capitulating to a benevolent mischief:)pover of the same religion and superior army and technology (IE me). So he is Salading.

The second one is from the same game... Villem apparently captured Aachen from Charlie (a pretty good achievement, by the vay) and then got absolutely culture crushed. 2 turns later, Villem and Charlie vere at is again. As it turned out, for the 7th time

This is going to get REALLY interesting. Talk about religious conflict... Zara Yaqob is friend to the Christian superpower (me), and has a vassal. Bismark is friend to the Jewish superpower (Joao) and also has a vassal. The only one that is undecided is Cyrus, but he likes me and Zara more than Bismark and Joao. The problem is, although I seem to have the most soldiers, and I do, thanks to an early build 12 chariots quest, most are archers for defense against the Incans, who were very recently at war with me and had a ton of units. So really, I actually have a bit less troops than Joao. And we all know what the AI is like on Monarch

Note that China, my starting place neighbor, is dead.
Note that Babylon, a close later neighbor, is also dead.

1. The forest fire random event burned off the forest on the mountain immediately north of Washington. Since it's unchoppable/unworkable anyway, I saved the 20 and let it burn.

2. OK.... how did those city ruins wind up adjacent to the Mayan capital? And for that matter, if a city was once there, how is the tile still floodplain and not desert (since building a city removes features like floodplain and forest?).
