1) So the rumors are true... Librarians DO prefer seclusion!

2) Ahh... This is what I get for being nice and not just wiping you all off the face of the Earth!

I tried the lighthouse thing with a city that was coastal. I have no screenie, but map was like this:

LLLLL
LLLLL
LLCLL
LFIFL
WWWWW

L = Land, C = City, F = Fort, I = Ice and W = Water.

I cant remember if any of the Ws in the last line were Ice, but anyway, t'was quite funny that I could build a LH, and build boats, even before the forts were up.

- in fact, I believe the reason I placed two forts were that the 3rd W was I, so it block the canal so one had to sail through the forts/city

Here's a good idea; settle on top of the gold!

Because the gold is on a plains/hill you will get an extra base hammer right away from t1. Not to mention the defensive bonus of a city across a river on a hill, and the unpilliagable gold that can be collected before mining is discovered. Sometimes it is worth it

I've got two.

Whoa, this is like the only time I've ever seen this! I actually found this photo while exploring my photobucket account, I must have uploaded it long ago.

Gandhi demanding stuff isnt that rare. just because he is peaceful, doesnt mean he can demand stuff

and i have once had 50 civs on a duel map... XXL World mod allows up to 50 civs. after 3 or 4 turns, when the capitals have their first cultural expansions, about 20 civs are wiped because they have no other place to settle...

remember: culture kills

Wow... I would love to be Louis XIV on that map. Industrious and Creative would kill.

I prefer settling NEXT to gold mines. unless settling on top of the gold will net me 3 gems in my bfc...

Man can someone make a save for that so I can play it? I would love watching everyone scramble over borders. Actually since all tiles are capitals that would mean all tiles are optimized for capitals! Quecha Rush anyone?
